The cone roof comes to a point, and is in the shape of a right circular cone. The slope at any point in the roof is the same.

An umbrella roof is curved, more like a dome, but with support ribs that converge at the top-center. The slope at any point in the roof changes from shallow near the top-center, to steeper as you reach the edge.
