I bought these shares some time ago and they dropped in value so I am wondering whether I should hang on to them or just get rid of them. Please help if you know anything about shares...unfortunately I know very little :(((

I know Steve. I paid a lot more than this for them some years ago but I dont like the idea of selling at a loss. I lost about five companies in this way but now am sticking to the blue chip shares only..they are much safer.

A quick check reveals that do actually exist (so many people buy shares as a result of some 'recommendation' arriving via junk email or cold-calling from a con-merchant in what eventually turns out to be a non-existent company) ..
NMS .. mid price 13.5p, spread only 0.5p (unlike most 'penny' shares) ..
Good news is, over the last 5 years they went up from 7p to 16p ..
Bad news is that apart from a small 'blip' July/Aug the trend over the last year has been a slow drop .. (from 16.5p 1 year ago to 13.5p today) ..
