The green circle is the largest of the 3 circles. The red circle is the smallest circle and is located at the centre of the green circle. The yellow circle is the medium sized circle that touches the circumference of the small red circle and touches the circumference of the large green circle. Knowing that both the small red circle and the medium yellow circle are smaller than the large green circle and are placed within the large circle. The centre of the large green circle is O. The smallest circle has centre O and radius 2x centimetres.
The large circle has centre O and radius 2y centimetres. The third circle touches both the other two circles s shown. The three regions formed are coloured red, yellow and green as shown.

Q1) Explain fully why the radius of the third circle is (x + y) centimetres.

Write down, in terms of ㅠ, x and y, expressions for the area of the region that is coloured Q2) yellow,
Q3) green.

The area of the green region is twice the area of the yellow region.
Q4) Use this information to write down an equation involving x and y, and show that it simplifies to y^2 – 6xy + 5x^2 = 0.

Q5) Calculate the fraction of the design that is coloured yellow.

FYI, we have been in and out of this type of relationship for quite a while now and it has really allowed the two of us to be so much closer, open & honest with each other. Many people (not knowing our personal life) ask all the time how we keep it so good for so many years. (Married for 19yrs now) It's not for all people but if you can allow yourself to be honest with yourself....the rest comes naturally. Not to metion the bex intimate life you could imagine!

When I was a kid, I watched so many movies and only got them on a concrete level. Now I watch so-called kids movies and I am blown away by the spiritual and philosphical messages they hold.

K, i hooked up my USB cord to my camera and my computer. People are telling me that somthings supposed to pop up and nothings happening. every things hooked up right. when i try to put stuff on my psp somthing pops up but whenever i try to put stuff from my cam to my comp it never works!!how do you get the pictures/videos from ur cam to your PC?

It is time Americans wake up.I live and work overseas, for many years Most,outside of America,want to see the downfall of the U S You should hear what they say about you and your country "you didn't win WW We did" "you yanks made money off the war" Some of you well blame Mr Bush and the war in Iraq,not true Most over here felt Samalia,under Mr. Clinton,was great,and still talk about it today They felt the Cole and the embassy in Africa was what you deserved Ever the hostages at the U S embassy in Iran were justified " they have your people and you can do nothing America and carter are weak" They love your M Moore movies "you let people die in the street if they don't have money" I hear some of you,mainly young 'backpackers' agree with them and put your country down But when you walk away they call you a"stupid yank" They have ,for many years,watched your every move ,envy you and hate you ,and it didn't start with Mr. Bush it just got louder They echo you so why do it over here?

i didn't really believe people that said Bush was an idiot until yesterday, an assh*le, yes, but not stupid. then i saw the clip of Bush on the Daily Show saying that "childrens learn better" under No Child Left Behind. people say ROFL online metaphorically, in this case it was not a metaphor, i was actually rolling on the floor laughing.

Wouldn't it be possible to build a new type of space shuttle that could simply coast into orbit on interia alone if it accelerated to the desired Mach speed for its mass to attain a sub-orbital trajectory?

Then we can finally stop sending our astronauts up on potential bombs waiting for an opportunity to go boom.

Also the potential for a commercial civil aerospace program could be acheivable a lot sooner. If there are entrepenures out there with enough moxie to make it happen.

this person i know whose also a vegetarian gets really mad at me whenever i eat yogurt, marshmellows, things like that which contain gelatin because apparently its made from worn down animal parts.

i keep trying to tell him there are different levels of vegetarianism and i dont eat any meat or poultry, but considering fruity yogurt isn't a slice of dead animal i thought it was okay.

what is your opinion..should i cut out all gelatin foods?
(even kosher gelatin)

and tons tons tonssss of foods contain gelatin, i dont know how you can't NOT eat it.

My fiancee is active duty military (Navy). When his divorce was final they had no custody arrangement for the children, and now she is taking full advantage of this. He calls 5-6 times a week and he never gets a hold of her to talk to his children. He has transferred to another state and hasn't seen or talked to them in over 2 months, and its not for the lack of trying. The only time he hears from her is when she asks for more money "for the kids". She is already remarried (to the guy she cheated on him with, whom also cheated on his wife with her), and he is in the Navy as well. There is no reason she should need more money to "support the children". My fiancee would like to go to court to A) Get the child support lowered, B) Get a custody arrangement set up, and C) Possibly seek custody of the children. However, he doesn't feel that it is possible for him to get any sort of custdoy. The children respond better to him and he can financially support them. Any thoughtsor suggestions?
