Why do the youth of America,put down their own country over here?

It is time Americans wake up.I live and work overseas, for many years Most,outside of America,want to see the downfall of the U S You should hear what they say about you and your country "you didn't win WW We did" "you yanks made money off the war" Some of you well blame Mr Bush and the war in Iraq,not true Most over here felt Samalia,under Mr. Clinton,was great,and still talk about it today They felt the Cole and the embassy in Africa was what you deserved Ever the hostages at the U S embassy in Iran were justified " they have your people and you can do nothing America and carter are weak" They love your M Moore movies "you let people die in the street if they don't have money" I hear some of you,mainly young 'backpackers' agree with them and put your country down But when you walk away they call you a"stupid yank" They have ,for many years,watched your every move ,envy you and hate you ,and it didn't start with Mr. Bush it just got louder They echo you so why do it over here?

Because they are being brainwashed by the teachers we are paying with our hard earned Tax dollars.Then they will go off to college to take a Liberal Arts class or two ,then hear more socialist Dribble,then take a year off to find themselves .While their Daddy's and Mommy are so proud to here that they are attending their first War Protest,Deja vous from their first Protest where they met and later got married ,after years of Group Sex at the Commune.Oh yeah then they travel abroad,bashing the U.S. then they will move back home and spend more of Daddy's Money,maybe for acting school.We all know that acting school is where all the Political Knowledge is,Just ask Sean Penn...... It does sound like you are embellishing things just a bit though to express your hatred,thats O.K. we understand where you are from and all you can't help that either!

Society has lost its moral compass because (generalisation here) it no longer believes in absolutes. Truth is seen as relative. Forget religion for a moment whilst I suggest that there is a Moral Absolute and if society were once more to turn to Him for moral guidance it would find a purpose in life instead of sinking into self-destructive hedonism. Please note that this cannot be 'just a thought'. Either it is absolutely wrong (and we are just an organised load of atoms) or it is absolutely right (in which case we are inherently valuable and there is a Solution available for our problems). The answer to this question does matter and it is desperately sad to see people flying off this mortal coil into (what kind of?) eternity without ever having seriously considered the most important question in life.

The American people, for the most part, are terribly isolated from reality.

We have an attitude that our $hit doesn't stink, then throw in a healthy dose of Ugly Americanism, along with a military presence on every continent on the globe, plus we are the largest exporters of arms to the world, then factor in our two wars under bogus reasons ---- what in the hell would you expect the rest of the world to do? Hold their beers up high and salute us with three cheers?

Why in the world the people in the states can't understand that is beyond me.

According to a 2005 congressional study, the USA sells 35% of the worlds arms, and other studies put that as high as 60%. On the other hand, the same congressional study puts China at 3%. According to me, that is 3% too much and 35%-60% too much.
And yes, we do have a military presence on every continent in the world, Asia, Africa, South and Central America, Australia, the Midddle East, and of course Europe --- did I leave any out? You are speaking of the Brits in the past, we are every bit as bad. Do you want me to tell you about how the Brits single handed brought down 2,000 years of Dynasty Rule by illegally importing opium into China and putting in place such draconian treaties that they were dubbed as the "unequal treaties" by the Chinese that eventually resulted in the Boxer rebellion against foreigners in China?
Iraq and Afghanistan 150 years later and eventually Iran if the "stretch us thin like an over extended rubber band" cons have their way.

So you are bagging on the country and want to know why they are putting down their own country? I think you have to think one do Americans really care about other countries, two why is it every time I leave the states it looks like the world is becoming one little America, you must hate this as it is because your young are abandon their cultural beliefs and chowing down on McDonald's shopping the Walmarts and stopping in at Starbucks turning themselves into the little backpackers you do not like.

Just like SOME COPS suck! and beat people up!
and some JUDGES are creeps and crooks and write off their family tickets or let the MONEYBAGS pay them off (my ex's family does it all the time!)
BUT: that does NOT mean ALL American's so you just get that straight!!!
Most American Youth are scared to death and leave this country in TEARS, they leave their Mommas, and their young wives, if they have them, some even have babies, or small kids......

We don't have military everywhere, and France is the largest seller of weapons to the world. Check your facts, Just Jim. Brits are everywhere! They have historically been the country with the most occupied countries in the world. They get away with it by calling them their colonies. If the US ever occupied as many countries against those populations' wishes, we'd be sanctioned by the UN.
I hated that Clinton got elected. I didn't vote for him! We were attacked more times under his presidency than under GW Bush's. All Clinton wanted to do was talk, and be the UN's gopher. See where that got us... Bush stepped up and took the same road other presidents have: Eisenhower, Roosevelt... Awakening the sleeping giant! Interesting how they say we didn't win WWII for them seeing as how they were being BOMBED. Hmmm... it stopped after we lent them our air power... coincedence. Of course in school I was taught the Allies won WWII, so I guess we're just more polite than them. Truthfully, the US only protected GB. What saved the world is the usual invading of Russia. Hitler made it to Moscow, but Stalin made fewer mistakes and thus triumphed, plus he finally gave Allies permission to rush in and help at the end.
Also there's world wide evidence that they suck, just ask all their previous "colonies!" I've talked to many inhabitants of all of these places: Aussies can't stand Brits; India can't stand Brits; Singapore is glad to be free of Brit rule; America can't stand Brits; Eastern Canadiens hate the Brits; the provinces in Africa that GB held on to for the longest time hates Brits. They were the most stuck-up, most occupying country that no one thought was "the bad guy." Napoleon conquers a bunch of places and he's power hungry, we invade a country and take down a dictator/mass murderer who made promises to kill as many Americans as he could and we're just looking for control of oil, but don't EVER mock the queen no matter how many provinces ad colonies GB may gobble up!

well I'm 15 years old, and sense i can remember i always wanted to serve my country in the army, so when i hear friends or others talking about America or war like they know whats going on it makes me sick, we should be proud of who we are because the americans are helpfull and respected around the whole world, now i cannot say i agree with bush...well i dont at all, but his job isn't easy, he should have left it to someone with more skill at the matter, i say this proudly and truthfully, we are americans and we are strong, we should have pride over our country :)

i hate hearing also.

i lived overseas for a few years and have traveled to voer 40 countries, its always the same people, the dred locked hippie sitting there acting like he/she knows the world, but all in all, spewing out anti american hate, for no reason because when in trouble the first place they cry to is the US embassy.

the people seem all the same to, all are arrogant, will not listen to one fact, if movon.org told them the sky was purple, they would argue with you till the end that it is then label you a racist for saying so.

did i say these people were arrogant and snobby? try even talking to them, if you are not in their "click" they are rude as heck with you.

i can not stand them, i do not wish any ill to them, but i wish they would quit acting like sheep, but of course they all dress the same, i couldn't possibly ever think they would not act the same.

While those "backpackers" are parroting lies and hate, my son is in Afghanistan fighting for their right to say it.

I have faith that there are enough people of sound minds and judgment that know the real truth and these fringe loonies you are talking about are a small but vocal minority.
