you say we are animals. the fittest survive, the weak die from their own weakness like animals in the jungle. do what feels good because we are just selfish animals. then you say you don't need any 'god' telling you to do good things because you have it in your hearts without a god to do it already, so youre better than christians. Im trading in my 2005 Honda Civic EX Special Edition. My dad signed for the car in '05 and I co-signed. Ive made all of the payments since day one, every single penny. Can I trade my car in without my dad being there? Is this possible to go to a dealer alone and trade it in? I dont have the title, the bank does, because i still owe about $14,000 on it.Thanks so much!

We enjoy cooking fish but hate the smell in the house afterwards. It doesn't seem to matter that we close the kitchen door to the rest of the house, open the window and the door to the garden - the smell persists.

Is there a candle that does the trick, or does anyone have a better idea?

Although its not the first place that comes to mind when you think of the word Holiday (USA: Vacation), Iran has some amazing historical places to visit.

Does anyone know which tour operators fly there, and any possible places that should be visited once there?

Do you know about the RADIOACTIVE waste they put out?

Most of the radioactive isotopes in the waste emit large amounts of radiation and have extremely long half-lives (some longer than 100,000 years) creating long time periods before the waste will settle to safe levels of radioactivity.

A half-life is how long it takes for that radiation to disipate by half its original amt.

so if its low, around 50,000 years half life, it will be radioactive for around 1/2 a million years.

Few debates on nuclear power or nuclear weapons discuss the problems of waste disposal should the power plant or missile be decommissioned. Few debates on nuclear waste disposal discuss the amt of $$$$$$$$$$$$ it cost to store nuclear waste. And you will store it FOREVER!

So how much would it cost to store 1 million tons of RADIOACTIVE waste for 1/2 a million years?

i guess this is a 2 parter!

My 23 year old girlfriend was tricked into going to a mental institution by her school, she is not crazy, nor suicidal. She has now been in there 2 days and 3 nights. We are trying like crazy to get her out, shes scared shitless and the doctors are trying to make her take all kinds of drugs that would **** her up. How does one get release frome the facility?

There was no hesitation in invading Iraq and they even found excuses like "weapons of mass destruction" that subsequently turned out to be false. Now that the Burmese people desperately need the help of the West they will get nothing except a few words of support.

It looks as if there may be a repeat of East Germany in 1953, Hungary in 1956 and Czeckoslovakia in 1968--i.e. the West will stand idly by while people's dreams of freedom are brutally crushed.

And they say it's not all about oil...

Hi all

I am from Europe, and I've always been an admirer of the United States. I just love the way everything feels free, and just the way the country operates. I have always wantes to join the US Military, and I know in order to do that, I need a Green Card. I have read about joining the US military in other questions here, but I have some extra quesions:

1. If I have a Green Card, is it just for me to go and speak with a recruiter (lets say from USMC), and show him the Green Card and say that I want to join?

2. How many years do I have to serve before I get a US citizenship?

3. If I join lets say the USMC, how are my chances to become a Scout/Sniper if I don't have US citizenship? And lets say that I have the citizenship after serving x years, will my chances to become a S/S be less because I'm not American-born?

I really hope someone can answer my questions!

The moderator at Columbia university claimed that Iranian women didn't even have "basic" rights in Iran, to which the Iranian President replied that they were active in all sectors of Iranian society, which is true: Consider this

1) 60% of university students in Iran are women
2) Iranian women have the right to vote and hold public office
3) They can drive ( unlike in Saudi Arabia)
4) They can work and compete for any job with men
5) They serve in the police and security forces
6) They can and do own businesses
7) They are highly visible in the media and arts
8) Iranian law is very severe to violence/harassment of women
9) They are entitled to receive a dowry from their husband upon marrying him

The only matters that are unresolved in Iran regard interpretation of Islamic law on civil affairs such as divorce & inheritance: Here, Iran has not pandered to Western moral decadence. Women cannot break up families as easily as in the West which has led to such social havoc
