It is an IDEAL Minimiser SE boiler which constantly has a pool of water on top of the boiler unit, appears to be coming from the outlet flue? How do I repair this if at all? Many thanks Chris

This is your pressure release valve, or, there should be a valve connected to it. The valve might be getting old and could need changing or it's just leaking. I have run into that and, have opened it and closed it real fast, it "whooshes" from the pressure, and steam or, water will come out so, don't stand in front of it. See if it will close then.
If it needs changing, you'll have to shut down the boiler to change it, this is something that should be part of yearly maintenance.
