Why do people say "Oh don't get angry" then they say "Oh you can get angry just don't act on it."

Well which is which? Can you get mad without showing that emotion or without acting on it?

Explain.

Dondi

A master so,
he is to me
A mentor, a dream
of what can’t be

A leader, a fighter
with much "overcome"
A deed’r, a die’r
for hearts over strung...

The ultimate witness
to pains so endured
He’s my mental fitness
my savior, my cure...

A cardiologist died and was given an elaborate funeral. A huge heart covered in flowers stood behind the casket during the service.

Following the eulogy, the heart opened, and the casket rolled inside.

The heart then closed, sealing the doctor in the beautiful heart forever.

At that point, one of the mourners burst into laughter.

When all eyes stared at him, he said, "I'm sorry, I was just thinking of my own funeral --- I'm a gynecologist."

The proctologist fainted.

I have seen lots of questions and answers debating on the true day of the Lord. God of Heaven. If Saturday is really the Lords Sabbath day, is there a day of the Devil? If so, what day would that be?

If I have a permanent place of work 15 miles away, I am contracted to work there permenantly but my contract says in certain crcumstances in the interests of the company I can and will be located elsewhere, such places are not defined. When this happens (about 10% of my contracted hours) I travel more than 15 miles, say 20 miles, my company says I can only claim the excess miles travelled, 5 miles in this case or 10 miles as its a return journey. A friend of mine said as I am travelling to a temporary place of work, I can claim relief for the whole cost of the journey from my home i.e 20 miles plus 20 miles return = 40 miles in total, is this true? If so can I claim back any milage I may have been due?

Here's what has happened. Hard drive on laptop got fried and Best Buy replaced the hard drive because it was still under warranty. Customer had singned the service contract when he dropped it off, to NOT BACK UP ANY DATA. First question is, what do they do with the fried hard drive? Do they send it to the manufacturer and what do they do with it? Second where or if any is there any privacy laws on when the customer specifically said not to extract nor back up any files? I'm talking pictures, videos, any files that has to do with papers that have been written for college, etc? When the fried hard drive is replaced with a new one, what is the protocal with the old hard drive? Do they destroy it?

I was in cub scouts about 25 years ago and just took my son to sign up for his first time and it seems to be done a little different when I was a kid.
I remeber starting out as a Webelo and then moving up to a Bobcat, where now Webelo is the highest ranking in Cub Scouts.
Am I remembering it wrong. I just remember feeling a little on the outside because the older boys were cool animals and we were corn.

. . .. . just believing what we believe and letting others do the same?

the morbidly curious side of me always makes me click on the "society and culture" link here in Y!A and all i see is people arguing....on sides that are pre-decided....along the lines of their 'contacts.' good points are consistently ignored in what i can only imagine is in the name of 'face-saving' and brutal stubbornness.

this is true for all questions, but aggravatingly true for the religion questions. i don't know. i'm just venting. i'd love anyone else's thoughts.

How many husbands would you ask for and would they all be one nationality? Or would they be from all national backgrounds?
