Most guys will pressure you from the get go, but lets be serious, until you are ready there is no need for you to do that, and if your bf pressures you constantly, he isn't right for you.
You wait as long as you need, after all its you that suffers the most when sex goes bad, as most guys tend to disappear right after the act.

One day? Typical guy answer. There is no specific time. Everyone is different. Studies show the longer you wait, (ie: more than 5-8 dates), the better chance you have of a successful relationship. Getting intimate too soon only clouds the issue and you will more than likely sleep with someone you aren't going to have a relationship with. Waiting til after 5-8 dates, gives you a chance to get to know the person and sex will be SO much more meaningful. The second most successful relationship I ever had took 3 months before we slept together and it was absolutely amazing! The MOST successful and pleasurable and intimate relationship I've ever had took 8 months. The crappy relationships I've had took 1 to 5 dates. Sure it's more fun to get on it right away, and if that's all you want is sex then go for the first night. But, if you want a real, mature relationship with true intimacy, wait a few dates. After all, you're worth the wait!

There is no right or wrong answer here. It's just an opinion. Just ask yourself how long can you take, going without it? Me, i went without it for six months, the day after, i dumped her! A healthy relationship does need sex to work more effectively. I guarantee you the apple was not the first thing Adam ate! Keep that in mind.

well I think the greatest gift you can give your future husband or wife is to abstain from sex until you are married. but to each is own. I would be a hypocrite if I said that would be wrong, because I had sex before marriage. But just be careful and think about it first. because the feeling you get from it lasts only a short time. then you are back in the same boat as before. I know we all want to feel loved too. but remember sex is not love.

There is no such thing as too long.Everyone is different and everyone reaches different comfort levels at different times.Do not do anything if you have ANY doubts otherwise you will regret it for the rest of your life and never make anyone do anything they are not ready for.if you love someone and they love you then you can wait until your both ready.if this person doesnt respect you enough to wait or you dont respect them enough then you shouldnt be together. good luck with everything and do what you think is right.

That depends on how many sexual options each person has. If one person doesn't have any other options they might as well stick around for a while and see what happens. On the other hand if there are dozens of options...about the time it takes to watch a movie would be the max.

Dear,
I am sorry but I think that a relationship and having sex is more serious and interesting thing to be equal to a medical prescription!!!
I agree with all users above who use the word " depends on".

It depends how old you are. If you are a teenager, I'd say you can be in a relationship without sex for more than 1 year. If you are in your twenties, 3 months is enough. If you are in your thirties, 1 month is probably too long.

It depends on what you want in a relationship. Some is 10 minutes, & others is never.

I agree with loulou and Istabulbogazi!
its a personal matter there is not a specific time!
If he loves you he can certainly wait! You dont need to get anxious about it or do something you ll regret in future
sex is wonderful when its done when you really feel for it
