Our small neighborhood has five 8 year old boys that are all in 3rd grade. They have known each other since they were infants and play together all week. Up until now, all the boys were invited to every birthday party. Last week one boy, "Ben", with whom my son plays frequently, had a birthday party and didn't invite him. My son was teased on the bus by "Ben" as well as the other boys about not being invited to the party. My son is devastated. He adored "Ben" and considered him a close friend. He has no idea why he alone would be discluded.

I called "Ben's" mother to ask her if there was some problem between the boys that she had seen, and that I needed to understand the situation so that I could help my child. She told me she had let "Ben" write up his list for his party, had no input in it and had asked no question.

What do I do now? Do I still let him play with these boys? Do I invite them all to his party next month and ignore what happened? They're all he has.

i have taken every medicine i can think of and I still feel really bad... I feel like I have the flu. I'm aching from head to toe, im shivering because i am running a fever, my nose will not stop running, and my throat feels dry and burns like fire and my head is pounding . What can I do to help get better faster . Are there any home remedies I can try. I am a stay at home mom of two kids, a boy who is 2 and a girl who is five and my husband works all the time. It's been really hard on me keeping up with them when I'm this sick and all I want to do is lay down and sleep but I know I can't...

My son (11) made a new friend and went to his home for the first time tonight.His parents took them out for pizza and (we live in a community where illegal imigrants are a majority) and this boys dad said those damn mexicans will always be failures.Now my son whom is biracial (father is an american born chicano and I am white) and is clearly very dark complected was offended by this mans comment, he felt that this man had some nerve to say that in front of him. I agree that this mans comment was very wrong to say no matter who was present.But I do not know if this mans comment was intended to hurt my son personally, my son did not say anything to him, but when he got home he let me know that it hurt his feelings. I guess what I want to know is this situation something I should step in on to make sure that my son is not being mistreated while in the care of this man. Or should I let it blow by, maybe he did not think it would offend my son when he said it because he is not mexican.??

Lately he started calling me mean names. He tells me to shutup and basically take all his insults. He knows he hurts me but he does it on purpose. I just dont know why he hates me so much. He called me ugly and stupid. He tells me that I am nothing! and to get a life ... I got to work crying and at the same time i was emabrassed because everybody at the office saw my eyes full of tears.Naw I've been ignoring and avoiding seeing my brother for 2 days. Here it is: Spent most of my money with b/f's dad and him at Las Vegas. Went back to school...b/f and I both work in New Haven labs, but his dad and I got involved...long story short, he's been helping with my rent (his son (my b/f) will never know about us) but his dad's out of town and my rent was late twice...first time my landlord accepted a bribe with a late "call" for drinks and partying, but should I keep up these "lascivious" (b/f's dad's word) favors?
