YES! IT HURTS BADLY. I CRY EVERY TIME I GET A HAIR CUT. MY MOTHER USED TO CUT MY HAIR AS A PUNISHMENT IF I DIDNT SHOWER (WHICH HURTS ALSO) DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT....UNLESS YOU LIKE PAIN

No it does not hurt to get your hair cut. Hair is dead protein. Hard keratin to be exact. The only part of the hair that is alive is inside the scalp (the follicle) that why it hurts when you pull your hair.
Don't be scared. There is nothing to be scared about a hair cut. The only thing you will feel is when your stylist combs your hair.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hmm, why are you scared??? Have you had a bad experience with getting your hair cut before? Really it doesn't hurt, you will have to go and talk, and talk and talk some more to some hairdressers, just don't go to the first one you see. Research, and talk with hairdressers, if they are any good, they will listen to you, relax you, and take care of your fears. They want you to feel as good about your haircut as they put the time and effort into giving that style. Good luck, and take care.

I got my hair cut and cried for days. I use to have really long hair and they cut a lot off.
Now, my hair is to the middle of my back and I will never get it cut again.

It doesn't hurt to get your hair cut unless you are like me, I don't like short hair so if I get my hair cut and it's too short, it makes me cry. Why do you want to cut your hair??
