I have seen more, felt more, had more and been more at peace since answering the call of the gods that accept me as thier blood lines then I ever had from that guy who "saved me".
I always get a good laugh when I am told that those feelings are from the Devil. If the devil finds me worthy of attention that Jesus doesn't....hmmm see that still doesnt' make sense either. None of it makes sense.
Give me Freyja and Odin any damn day of week.

Pagan gods and goddesses invest in Mother Earth. So we will all be rolling in dough because real estate is going up up up.
The Christian god made some bad investments when he sank all his money into Mutual Fundies.

I once saw this funny graffiti on a bathroom wall: One guy has scrawled "Jesus saves souls!" with what must've been a magic marker.
Some smarty pants came in behind him and wrote in this flourish-y script: "And redeems them for valuable cash coupons!"
Hee hee hee! Still makes me snicker.

I agree... they do invest in their followers (and sometimes those who don't particularly follow them). I see they invest in our strength, our honesty and our honor... and I also see that sometimes they invest in our weakness' to bring about change, not just in ourselves, but in others as well.

They do. They invest us with the freedom to think for ourselves, and pride in our ability to walk side by side with our gods and not grovel at their feet.
