Yes, and they are wonderful - here's my recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup beer
2 tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour in the egg, beer and melted butter; stir with a whisk just until blended - a few lumps are okay.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Coat with vegetable oil or cooking spray. Spoon about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot surface for each pancake. When bubbles appear on top of the pancakes, flip, and cook until browned on the other side.
You can replace the beer with root beer for another really wonderful taste and it's great if you're hungry for pancakes and have run out of milk!

No, but I have used beer primarily in the cooking of meats and always have had good luck. I would love to see a beer pancake recipe. If you think about it, most times, the alcohol is a flavor enhancer, like in vodka penne for example.

yes ... my dad used to make these, practicing on the family before he went to deer camp.
The next best treat is beer mustard: colman's dry mustard added to a little beer to get the right consistency to spread on a ham sandwich: add a slice of swiss cheese, some hearty rye bread and you have a little bit of heaven in your lunch box.

can't say that i have. never thought of trying beer in my pancakes. is it really that good. i have put peanutbutter in them, and my kids love them so much, they kind of taste like peanutbutter cookies. and my 12 yr. old son saw someone make blackforest pancakes on tv, and thought they looked good, but i can't find a recipe for them anywhere.

Hey, they may be really good. I should know, but don't ever have to many because if you use to much beer on the pancakes you could become intoxicated.

i would suppose that since beer has some of the same ingredients as bread that adding beer to pancakes might not have any significant positive impact at all.
