We just moved into our first house five months ago. I have decorated the interior and also our private garden in the back is full of lively and beautiful autumn flowers. Anyhow, the back is adorable and so picturesque but the front of our townhouse looks like no one is home (aside from the daily newspaper a mini-rose pot by the door and a windchime).

There is a rock garden that is about 5 ft by 3 foot with nothing but rocks. We also have a private sidewalk to our door. In front of the rock garden in a small patch of grass. It is maintained by the property owners, not by us. But anyhow, I plan to put a glass top patio table with four chairs and umbrella on the grass area. But I need to know what to do with the rock garden? We are in a mountain climate so it snows and freezes a lot. I don't want to put out plants or flowers, but instead maybe some fountain/little pond or seating. My neighbor has all kinds of cool things in her area with lights and fenced borders etc, mine looks plain

I'm due in 3 1/2 months and I already have somewhat of an idea what to do, such as bringing home items with the baby's scent, making rule changes BEFORE bringing baby home, etc. I also know all about not leaving kids and dogs alone unsupervised.

My question is more along the lines of... What kind of new rules should I have with my dogs? I realize it's a personal decision, but I wanted to know what you think of things like:

- Not letting pets up on furniture (I currently let them on the couch).
- Whether or not to let the dogs in the baby's room.
- Should I let the dogs sniff at the baby or make them stay away?
...and also...
- What are some things I can do to prevent allergies? The baby will be coming from a sterile environment to a home with 3 dogs!

I just want to be prepared. Thanks so much!!!!! :-)

I have a friend who takes all kind of vitamins in the mornning i get full watching her just swoleeing all these pill and was wondering. what are some benefits you stand to recieve by taking a multivitamin every day and can taking a multivitamin everyday raise your intake of a particular vitamin or mineral to near toxic levels? what are the consequences of toxicity?

Me and my boyfriend were coming home last night and saw this HUGE 2-4 inch brownish spider sitting on the wall by our steps.

Does anyone know what this spider is? Is this grounds to IMMEDIATELY leave the premises? We have an estimated move-out date is 10/1, but my landlords may try to keep us until 10/15... I don't want to be here anymore!!!! If you look at my previous questions, I have been trying to figure out what to do with this landlord-tenant stuff, and I feel as though this is just another thing to add onto our list of horrors. Please tell me what this spider is and if you know - CAN WE USE THIS TO MOVE??? Can I report them if it gets out of hand?? Please help THANKS!!!

When get inspiration I start writing or drawing. My dad has no problem with me writing but when I draw he criticizes me horribly. I always draw clothes because thats how I express myself, but my dad thinks I'm just obsessed with fashion and thats all i think about. He keeps telling me to concentrate on studying as if that is all I should be doing. But I'm an A student and I'm a cheerleader, but my dad still thinks I'm just wasting my life. No matter how many times I try to make him understand he still says my my drawings are completely and utterly useless and it hurts because my drawings are my thoughts and feelings. I feel like he insults me when he insults my drawings. What should I do?

Now that I've made it through college and established myself in my career and financially, I am looking at various investment and donation opportunities. For personal reasons, I do not want to simply make charitable donations to an organization. One thing that does strike my interest is establishing a scholarship and awarding it to a student attending the college that I went to. What are the potential tax benefits of this type of donation? Would it be comparable to simply donating to a recognized charity for tax write-off purposes?

Honestly, now.

Would you be uncomfortable if your boyfriend/husband had breakfast with a woman that he considers a good friend?

Here's the kicker: What if you knew they had an intimate past? Now, what if she constantly gave her unasked for advice and opinions about your relationship with your boyfriend/husband?

Also, you weren't able to go to this little meeting because you have to be at work at 8:30AM and both your significant other and his friend work the night shift at their separate jobs and they get off at about the same time.

When people find out that I'm against illegal immigration, they love to freak out and say... " why don't you leave, your an immigrant too" lol wtf? is what i say. Since when am I liable for what my ancestors did? Im sure if I was living in my "native land" and illegals were crossing the borders constantly raping my governments social services, I would feel the same way. I just don't understand why people support illegals so much?
It has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with economics.

Imagine a weekly TV series where every episode featured a different story that took place during the 1960s . Some episodes would be about famous people and based on situations that really happened . Other episodes would be about ordinary people living their lives . NOW -- If there was such a TV show, what should its theme song be ? I only have three rules -- My first rule is that this theme song has to be a leftover from the 1960s . My second rule is that it has to evoke images of something that was definitely part of the 1960s . Two examples would be "If You're Going To San Francisco" or "The Age of Aquarius" . I just moved in with the love of my life and he just bought a house! Unfortunetly the bathroom is XTREMLY small and its the only one for right now.
