Whenever someone comes out with some Chick tract unbiblical untruth about the Catholic Church they seem to get a full, thoughtout and respectful answer.

All I hear from the fundie regulars is a load of things that they were thought by some uneducated pastor with poor biblical interpretation skills.

All we hear is "where in the bible" related to some topics and when you show them they say "that doesnt mean that" Most relates to actual commands that Jesus made to people.

Jesus used words like "unless you do a,b,c," and then these guys come back and say he was being symbolic.

Its my understanding that they created a different Gospel, different that the first century christians, dont you think so.

I just have found the catholic answers to be far more solid and just plain true.

I would think that if a person looking to explore Christianity compared Catholic and Protestant belieft it would be clear that the Catholic faith was around 200 years and protestant 400yrs

I see people on facebook and myspace with so many "friends" on facebook and stuff it makes me wonder..do you actually hang out with all of them? Or do you have your facebook friends and real life friends? I have talked to my friends about this, and its like they dont wanna admit that they add people that they barley talk to in real life. I know a girl who has 367 "friends" on facebook. It makes me laugh because a few weeks ago she had around 200 friends. Its amazing how someone can make over 160 friends in a mere 2-3 weeks. I dont buy it. Do you people who have hundreds of friends on facebook actually look at your friend count and think that validates your worth as a person? How sad that people actually socialize more on the interent than they do in person

my car has been losing radiator coolant. when I leave it idling, I see coolant dripping from the tray holding the radiator in place. It is a 1996 Ford Explorer. It does not overhaet. Do I need to replace the radiator? What are the tell-tale signs my radiator needs to be replaced? Thanks a million.

I currently don't belong to any martial arts organization, and my sensei remained fairly seperate from them, though he did join the United Isshinryu Council for a short period in the 90s. I know our lineage, which is good enough for me. (legitimacy of style) I know people though who are proud of their organization and the apparant legitimacy it can give it's blackbelts. What are the benefits to these organizations. I already know many of the downfalls. (political bickering, the thought your version of a style is better than students who belong to another body)

My mom really likes yoga after reading so much about it from books she bought, and she would really like to try it some time. However, the problem is that she had undergone kidney transplant, which sort of complicates things. Therefore would yoga be appropriate for people that have undergone kidney transplant, and if it is, what postures are to be avoided, or can be done?

for 3 days now, I have suffered from extreme nausea and weight loss. I have lost 19 pounds in a week. I also have been passing black blood clots in my stool. I know I need to see a doctor, and will try to do that tomorrow, but until then, would like ideas on what this could be. I recently had a baby and was given adipex to help lose weight, but I obviously don't need it anymore. I am so lethargic that the adipex doesn't even help. I pretty much sleep all day with the new baby. Any ideas?

Been told but only seven came. Would that infact change the way it was later to be looked at, or would it simply imply that only what had come before had infact been there to begin with? I'm sure there is a side that would say that neither are true if there is a cause to its affect. What about the time in which it is spoken of and in the sight of whom it maybe challanged. I think there maybe still some that can comment on how it was likley to have been before a simple time when the day was not even at its place. What do you think?

Why does the Catholic Church consider pre-marital sex wrong? How do you make a decision whether or not to have sex in a relationship? My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. We have not had sex. We are both very attracted to one another and have very strong sexual feelings for one another. I am very tempted to have sex with him, but my Catholic upbringing seems to come into play and makes me feel guilty about my feelings for my boyfriend and about wanting to have sex with him. I feel very conflicted because I love my boyfriend very much and he feels the same way about me. I hope our relationship will grow serious and that we could get married. I wish we could get married now so that we could act on our feelings within the sacrament of marriage. Getting married just to have sex and not feel guilty is not a reason to get married. I'm not looking to justify having sex, but rather trying to understand what is the right way to act and feel about this issue. Thanks!

My stepmothers dad died yesterday and although me and my stepmum dont see eye to eye, her family have always made me feel welcome ever since I met them 20 years ago. i am going round to see my dad and stepmum later and I'm not sure if I should take flowers or what....and what do I say to her?? After all, she has lost her father. And although we are not friends, I feel I have to be there for her as she is still family, as I am also there for my dad.

ok whole story short my husband was away from me for 4 months. one month before i move with him he opens a myspace account.he doesn't tell me. but he had an email account which he thought i was never going to find out but i did and he had myspace friends requests in there. so i ask him gimmi ur password to myspace. he flat out denies opening it. like it openend by itself. so i get his password sent to his email. and on his profile he was 18 m single doesn;t want kids. i was pissed but there was nothing else on there in sent folders or trash or inbox except one email written to him after 5 days opening the account. it wasn't spam because i seen other spam emails.i am not over it because he denied it. he said he wanted to see if i had one. he said this after a month of me bragging. what the hell do uthink is going on. i am done talking. no trust why hide stuff. ok the email that he got goes sumting liek this. do u think he contacted this person. more details
