What do we absolutely, one hundred percent know? Something that cannot be questioned, or argued.

Examples of wrong answers: 1. We know nothing. (That's self-contridicting because that would mean we know something.)
2. We are self-aware. (We can't prove that others are self-aware. This could all be a dream. We don't know if everyone else around us is self-aware or if it's just us because we can only prove to ourselves that we are self-aware)

At first I thought I would instantly want to be able to see, but I thought of something that changed that. If you were blind, lust would disappear from your mind. As we all know, lust is up there with the most influentual things on mankind. If you were blind, you would become more wise, make better choices, and be more just.

As of now, I'm 50-50. Both ways have their pros and cons.

I used to love God, but after what happened to me , and been happening for almost 8 years now, one thing after another, everything that couldve went wrong, did, everything from me losing my house and job, to getting a flat tier on route 9 and all of a sudden, you cellphone goes dead, and then your car goes on fire, im not gonna continue with all that happened, but ive been staying loyal to him all these years. Now im just sick of him, stop testing me you F***!!!!!!

I was just in the elevator with this guy whose bike stopped working right after he installed a new seat. I told him he probably knocked a battery connection loose or something. He said he checked all that and couldn't find anything, so he took it to the harley mechanic.

He finally got it back today. Among other things, they said his plugs were fouled and changed them and they cleaned and rejetted the carbs as well. All this probably cost at least $500, but he was happy his bike was running again. Any thoughts on all this?

For example, last year I dreamed that I was waiting for my sister to come and take me to a Yankee game. The next day she called me and invited me to go with her to a Mets game. (Okay, different team, but otherwise a dream come true!)

Many years ago, I dreamed that I delivered Christmas presents to a Hispanic family and a little boy kissed me on the cheek. A couple of months later, my brother and I answered a Santa letter from a Hispanic family in the Bronx, and one of their little boys kissed me on the cheek. I turned to my brother and said, "I had a dream about this!"

Anyone else out there want to share their dream-come-true stories?

I received a plant as a gift in a small pot. It is growing very nicely. It has three triangle shaped leaves at the very end of each thin stalk (the stalk looks like a raw beansprout). The three triangle leaves are a deep, dark purple, and they fold up at night like they are praying. I like this plant, I wonder if I can plant it outdoors or should I just get a larger pot? I have NO idea what it is!!!!

My husband is very picky about what I can and can't listen to. He won't let me listen to his stereo system unless he is home and when he lets me drive the car he takes out the fuse for the car radio so I can't play it. Also, he said I can't listen to music on headphones because he has to hear what kind of music is playing. He told me there is a lot of bad lyrics and doesn't want me being corrupted by them. I understand that but how can I convince him that I could be trusted with my own little portable cd player? I mean he knows the CD's I have and has bought me most of them. Its just that sometimes I would like to listen to music if he is taking a nap or something. I'm thinking he might think I could sneak a bad CD behind his back and play it but I am not like that. I respect his authority over me and would never do that. Any suggestions on how I could prove that to him?

my kids are 8 and 11, they behace great for other people but not for me, the 11yo answers back constantly and thinks she should be on equal par with me,my 8yo isnt as bad but does follow the oldests lead. i dont know what to do....its very stressful. i have tried,time out,grounding,loss of prized toys and sending to their room,all to no avail. they fight amongst themselves and antagonise each other and think they are so hard done by. they are not spoilt but do get things. i know i am doing something right because of their behaviour around other people but how do i get them to behave for me. it would be nice to have a happy home. any suggestions?

Hi people. I am sixteen years old, and I have gone to a Pentecostal church since i was six. There they prohibit pants for women, and many other things like wearing make-up, jewelry, and going to the movies. I believed all this for the longest time, and disposed myself of all the things that my church considered 'bad'. I made it all the way from sitting in service, to being usher, to being a sunday school teacher, to preaching in youth services, and singing in the church choir. But I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and i just don't believe the stuff they believe anymore. I tried reasoning with myself and make some logic of their doctrines, but i couldnt. Even though i know i cannot believe what they do, i feel like i am letting God and the whole church down by leaving. It is saturday night, tomorrow i am going to church to give my pastor the news. I need help on what to say, they have been like family to me and I feel like im about to turn into some sort of prodigal daughter.
