Today I tried to get a drink out of a soda machine - it was expired by 10 months! I threw it away. The next drink was expired by a mere 5 days - I threw that away (would it have been good to drink?!).

The 10 month one was orange juice - before I checked the date I thought it must have been bad because the liquid was as dark as apple juice!

Angelia, I actually got a third expired drink. I bet the entire machine hasn't been recently replaced. And they're in my college dorm.

Ewww...I would hate to think that drink had been the machine ten months past it's expiration date, although it's more likely that the drink company stocked the machine recently with expired drinks. The one that was expired by 5 days would have probably been okay to drink, but why chance it? I'm like that with milk...if it's the day of the expiration date, I won't buy it/drink it...When I was little, I always used to think it magically went bad on that day, even though now I know it doesn't...I just don't drink it to be safe. You might want to contact the drink company and let them know that you received two expired drinks out of a machine...who knows, maybe you'll get some free sodas? :)

the 5 day old might of been ok, depending on what it was.
the orange juice, unless you like seeing the bottom of your loo it's a good thing you didn't drink it.
i always check the dates now, once i brought an orange juice from a shop, spent the next 2 days, yeah you don't really wantto know. it had expired 7 days before

Oh yea I check exp dates. 10 months especially on oj would be gross. 5 days is ok tho. When I am at the grocery store and buying perishables I check the exp date. I work for a grocery store and see stuff that just gets by. The workers are supposed to put the outdated stuff in claims but sometimes things get missed.

Yes, definitely. I always check expiration dates. If I cannot locate the date, I call the company's 1-800 number and ask them.

I never use anything past the expire date.

It all completely depends how hungry I am. Also, another factor is if I'm high or not XD If I'm hungry and baked (The two kind of go hand in hand) then expiration dates mean nothing to me =P

That happen to me too. Looked at the date for some ice tea and it was months old. A girl told me about the sodas in the machine at work and I had to check. It kinda grossed me out!!

yes, I always check the dates and keep up with the ones at home, like medicine bottles. I'll go through those about twice a year and get rid of things like cough syrup that are coming close to being outdated.

I'm probably the worst at expiration dates, I won't eat/drink it if it has been opened for more than a week. and i definitely won't eat/drink something past expiration.
