Having had many psychic experiences I am interested in what science has to say. I have watched numerous documentaries where well qualified psychologists tested subjects for psychic ability but in their tests never mentioned something I learned when studying psychology. That is, that consciousness is a construct that involves the brain selecting and editing out information. In a society that condems people who claim pschic ability isn't it likely that their brains would edit out such information before it was included in consciousness in order to comply with the prime directive of fitting in with social norms.? This is never considered by parapschologists trying to disprove the existance of psychic ability.

I don't understand how someone just "disappears". He is missing from Lexington, TN almost two years ago and we think about him a lot and wonder what the heck happened. Does anyone have any info about Larry Brown from Lexington? He is late 50's, dark hair but usually kept shaved (bald on top), very religious, maybe 5'8", 30 pounds or so overweight, big smile and a heavy southern accent. His pickup, keys, cell were all at home and he was not on the day he went missing (11-28, reported the next day on 11-29-05). We were told he came home from work early with a headache. Police say the dogs led them through some woods and up to a highway. I keep praying he fell and hit his head and has amnesia or something- maybe got a ride on the highway or something and doesn't know who he is. Anyone have any info?
If you have also "lost" someone or have someone "missing", please share your story. It's unbelievable with so many people around that this can happen to someone without anyone seeing.

please explain, thank you!

Killing them is one thing,
But I just want to vanish them.
In my ears they loudly ring,
No longer am I a decent gem.

Eyes a bright, cherry red,
I’m full of complete disasters.
Wishing they weren’t dead,
But to the dead, they are masters.

Confusion is my new form,
One they have created for me.
Completely out of the norm,
But they won’t let me easily flee.

I know that I have to jack up the motor and take the pan off as well as the bearing cap. When I slide the side seals in and tap the pins in to seat it, do the pins stay in? Also, do I need any special tools?

There is definately a difference when the groomer bathes my dog and when I bathe him. I've tried everything to get that groomer clean scent but have had no luck. He's a short haired breed and rather easy to bathe but when I do it, he still smells like a dog. Is there a certain shampoo I don't know about? Thanks in advance.

Why do people in here constantly ask questions in here that relate to the operating system, such as asking for software recommendations, without telling the operating system? I simply cannot understand it. Are they not actually seeking help, but rather seeking to drive us crazy?

if you look up age of consent of marriage in Texas you'll see that a person can get married at 14 and younger with consent, in new hamphire it's 13. And this is allowed now in th 21st century, not 1400 years ago. So do you see why intelligent people never bring up the fact that Muhammad married Aisha at young age, they just feed that propaganda to sheep.

The imminence of severe, debilitating birth defects is often cited as a just reason for abortion; an abortion in such instances is imagined to save the would-be child from a life of suffering. I have two questions about this: 1) If we endorse this reasoning, are we saying that the handicap in question is such that life for the child would literally not be worth living? 2) If (1) is true, does it follow that anyone who endorses this viewpoint should also counsel people who are presently living with such disabilities to kill themselves? (I.e., if a life is not worth beginning, why should it be worth continuing?) -ace
