Let's define median and mean
MEDIAN: When a set of numbers is arranged in order from smallest to largest (or largest to smallest), the median is the middle number.
MEAN: The sum of the values divided by the number of the values
MEDIAN: 26,18,32,13,20,24,10
32, 26, 24, 20,18, 13, 10
Median is 20
Note for future use. If you have to find the median of an even number of values, there will be no single number to identify as the median. In a case like that, the median is the average of the 2 middle numbers.
MEAN: 26 + 18 + 32 + 13 + 20 + 24 + 10 =143
143 / 7=20.4286, or 20 3/7

mean is the average (sum them all up and divide it by the total number)..ex (26+18+32+13+20+24+10)/7
median is the middle number within your data... all u have to do is line them up in order and see which is the mid value.
ex. 10 13 18 20 24 26 32
thus 20 lies in the middle which means that its the median
if u have even data like for ex.
10 13 18 20 22 24 26 32
Here u have 8 numbers u dont know which one is the median, so u add the 2 middle numbers up and divide them by 2...
(20 + 22)/2 = 21

Without rearranging the order
26, 18, 32, 13, 20, 24, 10
13 is the median
26 + 18 + 32 + 13 + 20 + 24 + 10 = 143
Divide 143 by 7 = 20.42857143
The mean is 20.43 rounded to two decimal places.

mean - add the nos and divide by how many there are, 7 in this case
median - put them in size order and the median is in the middle
