Of course! She was telling you that she missed hearing from you! She was very happy to hear from you again after 10 days seeing as you used to call her every few days.

Maybe she was happy to hear from you. You don't say if she's employed or what's going on with her. Could be that in the whirlwind of her life she thinks of you often but truly doesn't get the chance to call. It's not all about you. Go ahead and bug her. Sounds like she would like that.
You are assuming a lot here without actually knowing what her side is. I have a 15 year old grandson and it's usually he who calls me. I also have a very demanding job and four other grandchildren. I love it when he calls and yes, I do feel badly that I don't call him more often. Sometimes I'm just so exhausted that I veg in the bed or in front of the TV and the initiation of any action is just more than I can muster.
So stay in touch with her and don't pout.

Probably happy that you called and perhaps teasing you a bit about not calling. I do not know the age of your grandmother but I am going to guess she is in her 60's or 70's and if she is as active as you say then I say Good For Her. Keeping active will prolong her life, and you at 15 need to appreciate every moment you have with her. Remember she will not live forever. How would you have felt if you had not called and something happened that she died? I am not trying to guilt trip you just pointing out the facts of life. I hope that you and your Grandmother have a great relationship. I had a great reationship with my Grandparents on my Mom's side. In fact they are both dead now but I have my Grandfathers last wallet, and it still has his last issued Drivers License. I carry it proudly in memory of him.

she obviously missed your calls that's why she said "hello stranger" because you haven't called her and the reason she sounded happy was because you called..Let me give you a good piece of advice..I am 47 I loved my grandmother with all my being and now she is gone and I miss her everyday. Don't worry that you will bother her call her all you want because she obviously missed your calls because she said "hello stranger" Bug her as much as you want because she loves you and you love her and one day she won't be with you and you will miss her tremendously. So love her all you can while she is here. Sorry to be so blue.

Two messages - she hasn't heard from you and, yes, she is happy to hear from you. Its called putting a little guilt your way. Why not trying to call once a week, like on a Sunday.
That way you won't get frustrated trying to get ahold of her and she can carry on with whatever she is busy with.
Let her know that you will be calling on Sunday (or whatever day is convenient for both of you) and that will be your special time to chat with each other.

She was happy to hear from you. "Hello stranger" means she hasn't heard from you in a while and misses you. I'm sure your grandma loves you unconditionally and loves to hear from you often.

Girl, you are WAY too obsessed with your grandmother. Call her once a week like a normal grandchild, and find some friends your own age!

So it is o.k. for her to be too busy to call you but not vice veresa? Let her know that even though she is busy you would like to hear from her too. It would be a nice surprise.
