Granted, the U.S. can put together a half-decent national team, but they really don't produce outstanding individual players. Odd, considering Americans make up about 10% of the NHL these days.

Mike Modano? Chris Chelios? Phil Housely? Joe Mullen?

These are the names we constantly hear as being the greatest U.S.-born players, yet none of them would ever manage better than being a third-liner on a Canadian, Czech, Russian or Swedish team, and that's probably giving some credit.

I was given a job offer, pending 2 reference checks. They called my current job and asked for the manager (whose name I had listed but who was not there). A coworker (who is not management) who answered the call volunteered to give the reference, and even identified himself as qualified to do so. This person freely discussed me, and subsequently, the job offer fell through. The second reference was not even called.

I am quite upset and would like to know what recourse I have against this coworker or the company itself.

In light of Canada's 4 game sweep of the Russians in their own country and also the recent events in NHL, is it fair to say that Canada is not only near the top of the list in hockey countries, it is dominating all the others?

I understand that the Russian hockey development system isn't even close to what it used to be. There has been some big issues including ones over defection, improper coaching of well rounded hockey skills, and even over getting NHL players to play for the Olympic team. That said, going into Russia and sweeping 4 games is no easy task. They Russians have undeniable talent, as we will see in the NHL in 3 or 4 years, but their teamwork and coaching can be questioned.

As for the NHL, last year the top 6 scorers were all Canadians. The two top goal scorers were Canadians. The two top candidates for the Vezina were Canadians.

The most common conspiracy theory regarding 9-11 is that the World Trade Center towers were brought down by "controlled demolition" or "explosives". The theory is that Bush carried out this plan. Don't you think that theory is wacky?

1- Where would Bush find 9 suicide pilots to crash into the buildings? (3 suicide pilots per plane)

2- Large structures can take up to 3 months to prepare for demolition, so where would Bush get 50-100 volunteers who WOULD keep a secret and kill 3000 Americans without saying anything?

3- How could could a task this large (and so long) be achieved without any common person or security not discovering anything suspicious?

4- Why do the VAST MAJORITY structural engineers believe there was NO conspiracy? Could it be that the people who KNOW structural design understand that buildings CAN be brought down by crashing huge jet planes full of fuel into these buildings?

I have recently been diagnosed with depression, i returned to work last week to find out that a month ago on a night out and drinking more than i should have done, i dont generally drink, i became verbally abusive to a work collegue, she accepted my apology and i have never had a issue with her previous to this
I cannot even remember having a conversation with her, however i find it hard to believe i abused her for no reason
I was not on antidepresants during this period but i am now
