The situation is we are gettig married on Monday and we have to be in Columbia on Friday morning for a convention. We want to stay around South Carolina/Georgia/North Carolina area.

We stayed at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort in the North Georgia Mountains. It is right outside of Dahlonega, Georgia---it was awesome!!

Cape Hatteras North Carolina, there are over 1,800 charted shipwrecks, some on the over 50 miles of beach, 100's in less than 30' of water [scuba distance], there is good Sport & Shark fishing as well as excellent surfing, the sound side is great for Waverunners & Wind-surfing, classes w/equipment are available.

do not go to any place that will take time from your honeymoon. if you got to an exotic place you will feel compelled to do the site seeing thing. save that for your first anniversary...stay someplace nice, close to your convention area and devote the time to each other..you can tourist at a later date.

Bermuda. It's not far from the US coast and it is GORGEOUS! Can be expensive though, so I dont know if that's a factor. You may be able to get a package deal. Try Elbow Beach hotel...best beach on the island!

some places in downtown charleston are gorgeous.
if you start searching around you can find many things to do
so that your honeymoon is unforgettable.
there is also, myrtle beach and they have lots of live fun stuff to do there.
