I have recently been diagnosed with depression, i returned to work last week to find out that a month ago on a night out and drinking more than i should have done, i dont generally drink, i became verbally abusive to a work collegue, she accepted my apology and i have never had a issue with her previous to this
I cannot even remember having a conversation with her, however i find it hard to believe i abused her for no reason
I was not on antidepresants during this period but i am now
Did i take my frustrations out on her?

Over the last five years I had begun to have increasingly withdraw into a downward spiral of depression..
But now with the method I can fully focus my energy and thoughts into a decisive line on how to make my life better constantly. And it works like magic! I'm beginning to attract people to me once again and things have just been looking up since then.

No - I just think that it was the drink. Especially as you said that you don't normally drink that much.
I would not worry about it if I were you, but as you are now on
anti-depressants be careful what you drink. It obviously upset
you.
If you was not suffering with depression you could probably think its PMS or the Menopause. We always seem to blame
ourselves don't we?
I hope you are feeling much better and that the ant-depressants work for you.
I have been clinically depressed and it is awful. But once
the tablets kick in you will feel much better. Good Luck.

Perhaps you did or maybe she took something you said too seriously! Depression is easily curable! start by taking more breaks and doing more of the things you love. Then try something new like maybe work out routines and soon you will be more pleasant. Depression could possible lead to suicidal urges and one day you may decide to swallow 20 tranquilizers like my friend tried to, but what would I know I only took him to the hospital. Find something you like and hold on to it. Sorry if this is long I just want to help people in the ways I failed to help my friend. He is doing fine now so I hope you can get through this turbulent time too.

Doctors realise now that depression is a chemical in balance in the brain, linked to serotonin the feel good factor,as well as your medication try eating a couple of walnuts and banana for your lunch both contain serotonin and potassium, re being verbal that was probably the drink if you drank more then usual, good luck

Aggression can be a sympton of depression. So of course can drinking to much. The mind can work in strange ways sometimes to protect itself from what it can't deal with.
You have done the right thing in the situation and are on the road to recovery, so don't beat yourself up over it.

I had suffered from Depression for a number of years & when i was diagnosed i noticed my temper was fraying & when i had a meeting with my consultant he said that i Was Passive Aggressive, basically i am generally calm & easy going but if things get to much then can snap & become aggressive. ask your GP for some Mood Stabilisers they may help.
otherwise try meditation ect.
Good luck
edit.
Candlelight, are you a miracle worker or sientist? cause if you found a "Cure" for depression you can make Billions.

Yes it was your depression...Ive been known to kick off at strangers/friends and not realise I'm doing it... before and after taking anti's!
Drinking dosent help so Ive kind of given that up apart from some occasions when i want to socialise, i just ask my partner to keep an eye on my language.
lol.
As long as she accepted your apology and all is cool i wouldn't dwell on it too much, its just one of those things.

Hello Sarah, I've had depression for a long time.I take my moods out on those close to me sometimes and I feel lousy after.Drink is not the answer, and it will make you more depressed.Your medication should help you, but avoid the booze as it will cancel out the good effects of your medication.
