Not sure. I think this is a loaded question for Yahoo Answers.
Too many points or view and quite complex depending on who you are and your personal beliefs. (philosophy/ethics)

No they should not! Well we should of not gone in, in the first place, but if we get out now what will Iraq think of us? Most of the people think it was because of Sept. 11 but that was a whole other country who did that! It was mostly because they were blowing up the oil fields in Kuwait. Also the Americans were trying to get the Iraqi people to a democracy but that is not up to us we cant just go into someone elses country and tell them how to run it. I can just picture someone trying to do that to the U.S. Or so that is what I was told! I did this huge debate about it in school this year!

We should have never become involved with Iraq, and I know if sheep had been the main money maker for this country (instead of oil being its natural resource), Baby Bush would have never tried to get even for Daddy Bush!
I taught for a long time at a Job Corps site in Nevada, and many of my students enlisted as a result of 9/11. Every day when I hear of another young Americans death, I cringe. I wonder if any of my former students were hurt or killed in this senseless war.
Aside from my personal feelings, the last survey showed that the Iraqi government is still short 13 of the 18 agreements they were supposed to have followed through with to get their country back on track. They obviously don't care...so why are our young people still losing their lives, limbs, and sanity over a group of individuals who would rather sit back and let others do their work? The whole thing just makes me crazy!
Sorry, I didn't mean to go on so. Have a very safe and happy weekend! Annie

No. It is too early. Al Qaeda is an enemy the likes of which we have never faced. They want to do away with us and our way of life, as they have shown with attacks such as 9/11. They want us dead, and are willing to die to do it. This is not like Viet Nam, where the North Vietnamese just wanted to be left alone to kill or otherwise have their way with their southern countrymen. This new enemy will fight us in our own backyard, as they have already. They are a fire that must be put out. If you lived at one end of a forest and there was a fire at the other end, you might pull out and ignore it, but pay a terrible price for that later. That analogy applies perfectly here. We should stay there until the fire is out, and build an ally. And for once I'd like to see someone intelligent quit babbling about their oil. We are doing the same thing in Afghanistan but they don't have any oil. We are putting out a fire and building allies, just like we did with Japan, Germany and Italy. Only now we have to fight and build at the same time. Also we are not spending nearly as much on this war as we did that one, but this enemy is just as much a threat to us as the Axis was. Hope your class goes well.

They should've pulled out a long time ago. There's no reason for soldiers to be dying because of something that happened 6 years ago.
