I don't understand how someone just "disappears". He is missing from Lexington, TN almost two years ago and we think about him a lot and wonder what the heck happened. Does anyone have any info about Larry Brown from Lexington? He is late 50's, dark hair but usually kept shaved (bald on top), very religious, maybe 5'8", 30 pounds or so overweight, big smile and a heavy southern accent. His pickup, keys, cell were all at home and he was not on the day he went missing (11-28, reported the next day on 11-29-05). We were told he came home from work early with a headache. Police say the dogs led them through some woods and up to a highway. I keep praying he fell and hit his head and has amnesia or something- maybe got a ride on the highway or something and doesn't know who he is. Anyone have any info?
If you have also "lost" someone or have someone "missing", please share your story. It's unbelievable with so many people around that this can happen to someone without anyone seeing.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to answer and try to help.
He loves his mom and he loves Jesus so knowing him I could not see him voluntarily leaving because he would not walk away from his mom like that. I know in my heart too that he would not have hurt himself intentionally because he would not tick off God that way.
The idea about something happening in his head to make him forget who he was is the most comforting to go with although it is possible someone hurt him.
So many of us around and yet we hardly notice anything around us it seems (myself included). We're all wrapped up in our own little worlds. Since this has happened I try to remember to look up and around more, to try to notice what's going on with others so that if something shady is going on someone will notice it and report it. If all of us make an effort to be more observant maybe it will help someone else some day.
Thanks again for your help.

He had a headache? Maybe he did get some kind of thing happening with his head and wandered off. It is sad but not impossible for people to disappear.

Have you worked with a private investigator? Some people do go off and want to start a new life somewhere else. What would be his reason to do that? A private investigator would probably talk to people at his church, for example, to see if he ever said anything that might hint he was dissatisfied with his life.
If he had a headache, might he have gone to the doctor or a hospital? A systematic investigation might turn up some helpful clues. A professional investigator who had experience finding people would at least insure that all this ground was covered.

So sorry you misplaced him. I had a parakeet that could whistle "i've got been paintings'in on the railroad." He could say "incredibly chook" and dance to certin songs. "He like a music from the gang "Kool and the group" First you may stumble on a place for the cage so its not sitting ideal the place he was. The storage or basement could be suitable in case you coated it with a sheet. Take as long as you may recover from (under no circumstances particularly over) your loss of your particular pal. once you sense you would be waiting for a clean little pal, spend the 1st few visits on the puppy save/ breeder and so on. without taking anybody homestead. then you definately can get in a chuffed temper by utilising polishing up the section the place your new puppy would be staying. carry in there. to not be destructive yet we misplaced our sixteen twelve months old Lab canine. you would be able to nicely be waiting to handle it without falling aside- yet you will under no circumstances probable be "over it" some human beings can yet they have not got a real connection to their pets.
