There are several on here who ask questions meant for their friends. When their friends answer they get the best answer pick. They take turns. They lose 2 points and their friend gains 12.

EDIT
Kay is it the best/right answer or the answer you want it to be?

Well, if u would just be my pal this once and give me a best answer then.........

Just kiddin.

I aint asked a question in ages, but I'm thinkin most people sorta give the best answer to the answer that says what they wanna hear more than if it is the one with most merit.

I give thumbs up a lot to answers that I think are good ones. And I've given a few thumbs down to some jokers too.

I don't have any pals on Y!A, although there are many here whom I admire for one reason or another.

I give stars when I think the question is interesting to me, and I give thumbs up if an answer makes me smile or makes me nod in agreement. I'll give the thumb down if the response is crude or hurtful.

Maybe make some folks angry on this but on Merit, and the need to have the question answered. Of course it's great when one of my "Pals" give a good answer or question.

I know this is just a thing to do to pass the time, and to reduce stress, but I do NOT give stars to just anyone. This does involve a certain degree of thinking and common sense. Especially to those who cannot use the spell check.
It only takes a few extra seconds to move the mouse to the spell check button and pres it, but I guess those who don't use it a just lazy and stupid.

I judge questions 100% on merit. I have no buddies here. You don't know me, I don't know you. You have too judge me on face value. But I will admit, I have picked up where I have sensed some grouping of answers. Sort of like stacking the deck.

I always judge each question on it's merits and only answer those that I can give a decent answer to.

I also go through unresolved questions and give votes for a best answer, again, only to those who merit it.

:)

I star only answers that I will refer back to at a later date for answers.

Best answer is a tough one! There are so many good answers is always difficult for me but the answer has to have "something" for me.

I star questions for entertainment or intellectual value. Thumbs up for entertaining, accurate or humorous content Thumbs down for vulgar, vile, rude or contentious content. Best answer is tough when trying to be objective.
