if you got 10-15 shoots at a dove and it just sat there. was it wood or plastic???

Armedanddangerous is right. A lot of birds shot headon are not knocked down because the feathers turn the shot. If you are shooting big birds like geese or turkeys with a shotgun number six shot will bounce off their feathers like water. Your pellet gun does not have enough energy at the range you could hit a dove. And personally I think you are stretching it a mite to say you shot it 10-15 times. I have hunted doves and you are fortunate to get a single shot at one.

....this one must be the bird from hell. Take a bath in holy water, put a cross around your neck, go get a 4 gauge shotgun and prepare for battle. Yet some body armor in case it starts to spit pellets back it you at 1200fps. This thing has got to be demoniacally possessed...... or maybe you missed.

There feathers work as armor aginst slow moving objects like bbs and pellets.I have already shot a turkey with a 12 guage and hit it in the body and it got away there was feathers there but no turkey.I'd like to know how you shot it 10-15 times did you have it tied up or in a box or somthing.I bet your question will upset some people.
