I don't mean towards me personally, I'd rather do without it if comes from a 'sense of duty'
....but really some of the people I know are SO desperately unhappy and they just don't seem to understand it's mostly down to the fact that they're 'penny-pinching' 'tight-wads'
Anymore ways of describing a mean person?
Nothing gross.
My favourite is, ....'he's got deep pockets & short arms' !!

As a black man, I notice white men in their 40 and up speaks to me like I'm an idiot. When I open my mouth, I let him have it. "Your barking up the wrong tree, buddy. I know more than you think I do". After an nice knowledgable conversation, I noticed that white people are extremely intrested in the mental process of urban african americans. I enjoyed my white counterparts, we are so much alike, its sickening. Thank you Emancipation Proclamation, Dr. King, The Bible, and others that let me know I am not what people make me out to be.

My 17 year old daughter is taking cannabis. We have caught her several times, we can also tell by her eyes when she comes home. We have confronted her several times, always ending up in big arguments. We have also grounded her several times, only for her to carry on again when she is allowed out. We have suggested talking to a councillor or the doctor, but she refuses. Recently, we have turned a blind eye when we know what she has been doing, but it is breaking my heart worrying about her, and is she going to do something stronger. Should I carry on turning a blind eye to avoid the grief and arguments, and hope she grows out of it, or confront her and take the grief that will go with it. Its not just the arguments, if confronted, she storms out of the house, and I am left wondering is she going to run away from home, move in with some junkies, basically I imagine the worst scenarios possible. What should I do, and is there any practical steps can I take?

about a 2yrs ago i got a depo-provera shot....they didnt really inform me of the sideaffects..only that you shouldnt smoke and you period may not come for a couple of month. everything was fine for about 6months when i started to notice that my hair was thinning i gained weight and i started growing facial hair especially around my chin and lower neck!!!! i am very depressed i recently went to the doctor and they told me that i have little balls of blood in my ovaries and that they may burst!! the doctor prescribed me some hormone pills and told me that after i drink the last pill the next day my period should come...but it hasnt..im scared and i keep getting pains around my ovaries but i cannot go to the doc until my insurance comes through!!! what do you think it might be??? im very scared has anyone gone through this problem??

I recall as a child travelling through Cincinnati (at least i think it was) and several times when going into Kentucky we went across a bridge, it wasnt the I-75 bridge which we normally crossed.
This bridge was more of a tunnel type and crossed over into Kentucky. It was enclosed above and to the sides just like a tunnel. You could not see out to the sides or above you. But it did not go underwater.
I know i probably am mistaken, and maybe this was in another city. But does anyone familiar with Cincinnati rememeber a bridge like that?
Its possible that maybe this was just a small section of road which led up to the bridge. Childhood memories can somewhat get twisted over the years.
This would have been back in the 1970s, maybe early 1980s.

i am a filipina 14yrs married with korean man and we have 3 kids. But unfortunately he died last april this year. i want to go to korea to visit my in laws and to tell them about there son was died bcoz of his ill. And discuss for my children nationality. Coz want them also to be a korean national. Does korean embassy pass me easily without many documents? Isn't that a bit antiquated? We don't seem to need any incentive to populate this planet, but those who choose to have children are further exhausting our resources. Should we consider giving tax breaks to those who DON'T have children?

I have a list of numbers that add to 100: (16.55, 55.68, 27.77).

When I round these numbers using ROUND(), I get (17, 56, 28), which add to 101.

When I truncate these numbers using TRUNC(), I get (16, 55, 27), which add to 98.

My question is, is there some function I can use such that rounds the numbers so that the total is still 100? In this case, I would expect the result to be (16, 56, 28), the last two being rounded up because they are closer to the next higher integer than the first number is. Of course I would want the function to work with any group of numbers that add to 100.

It seems like the white kids today are all trying to act ghetto, black and fabulous. They listen to music about gangs, drugs, and sex that has nothing to do with the pristine life they enjoy. On the other hand, wealthy, suburban black kids don't act like that. They have good grades in school, are helpful in the community, and don't try to emulate the Ghetto lifestyle. Why is there this cultural divide in suburban teenage America?

My husband and I was talking about the trinity last night and man did we get deep. He said Jesus is God, and he believes there is three in the trinity. When he says Jesus is God that makes me want to think that God spilits off into two others making the trinity. Then we got to talking about Genesis 1:1 about God creating the heavens and the earth, but if you read John 1:3 Jesus created the heavens and the earth, plus Colossians 1:15-19 says it to. So who created the heavens and the earth? How is Jesus God? I want scriptures but please explain all I have stated in this question.
