Well, here is an example of something that happened to me. My cat got her leg hung in my computer chair while I was at work one day and I came home and her leg was as big as my arm. She was about 5 months old at this time. She had a big sore on it from where she had tried to chew it off. ??? So my fiancee took her to the vet the next day because the ER vet is WAY too expensive. I have two vets I use. He took her to the closest one. He said, "All her ligaments are torn. She will never be able to use her leg again. We need to amputate it first thing in the morning. It will be about $450 with medication." So I was like ok, he's the vet. (I was getting my license renewed at the time so I wasn't able to go.) Well then I got to thinking that she had KIND OF moved her paw before I left her that morning and then I remember my Anatomy and Physiology class from college. If ALL her ligaments were torn like he said they were, she shouldn't have been able to move her leg at all. So I told my fiancee to go back and get her and we took her to my other vet the next afternoon. By then the swelling had gone down, but she still couldn't use it much. The vet there said if anyting, she damaged some nerves. He put her on a couple meds for about 50 dollars and you know what?? Now she is walking like nothing ever happened. So I said all this to say that vets are not always right. A lot of time they just want money. Get a second opinion, but do it quick.

Well you don't want to write TOO much as to praise him. Say "things aren't the same without you, take care of the leg and I hope to see you back here as soon as possible."
