Many women have horrible experiences like you have while on depo.

Google "depo provera lawsuit" and see if you are able to get on one of the many class action lawsuits against the makers of this drug.

Talk to the doctor again about it when you can.

Wow! I'm sorry to hear about what's happening! I've been on depo for 5 1/2 years and have only had problems with weight gain, increased appetite and thinning hair. The increases appetite has since cleared up and vitamins have taken care of the thinning hair. I have heard some women having very bad side effects. I would look into planned parenthood or a woman's clinic to see if you can possible get reduced or free care. It sounds like something that should be looked at...

Depo shot may be the cause of why I have a rare brain disease called Pseudotumor Cerebri. I had to get off all hormones now. Depo kept me from losing weight and stopped my periods for awhile. Then my periods came back full force. I was bleeding every day of the week with lots of cramps. After I got off the depo shot it took almost a year for my period to come back naturally without any meds to help.

This is very common with the shot.
It's always best to do some research before doing anything to your body. I'm really sorry this has happened to you, but maybe it will make you more aware of the impact your decisions have in the future. Try to remain positive, that's the best thing yo ucan do without seeing a doctor.

The shot was the 1st thing I ever got on....I liked it cuz I didn't have any periods & I didn't have to take pills........the only thing I notice for me was that I would get bruises easily when I would bump or hit into somethin'.....that was it....I switched to the pills now & I haven't missed one yet...LoLz!! I have no problems just the bruising on my legs or thighs when I bump into somethin'......

No, sorry. I had no issues on the shot. But I guess everyone is different. Hope everything turns out ok.
