Heres the situation....my '97 Altima broke down so I called my mechanic friend who always works on my car. He took off my distributor and told me to get a new one...but he was going out of town. So I towed the veh to the dealer, all prepared to pay them to put on a distributor...but the dealer told me that the distributor wasnt the problem....I need a new fuel pump. So the cost to me is $1000 parts & labor for the distributor and another $800+ for the fuel pump. And my "mechanic friend"(who is certified and works in a garage) refuses to acknowledge any responsibility. And yes even though we are friends I still had to pay him for working on my car. So Im suing him for the cost & labor of the distributor. Am I wrong??

Say a government is elected in a country by a large mandate - say 65% of the vote. This government is very much anti-US; they do not want US corporations keeping their people in poverty with low wages, they are against US foreign policy and so on. This country otherwise is democratic, with free speech, freedom of religion and so on.

Would the US be justified in overthrowing this government due to their anti-US stance? (either directly through force, or indirectly by proxy - funding opposition guerillas to start a coup for instance)

I workout almost daily but am not losing any weight really. I drink nothing but water (and lots of it) all day and have cut back all of my food intake. I need to lose at least 20 lbs. by October 20th because I have a costume ball to go to and already have a costume. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

OK here we go... I have yet to come out to my family as transgender (FTM) and have been trying so hard to figure out all the ways... for A very long time... anyway- when I was driving with my mom the other day she said to me... "you just have to be yourself, whatever that is and if that's a man, then you have to be that and fess up about it" I just blew it off and yelled at her by saying, "do YOU REALLY have to talk about this now?" Nothing more was said. I feel really bad that I didn't respond to her. She's tried to out me before when I was a teenager (15+yrs ago) and I blew it off then too. NOW I'm ready and I blow her off again... what do I do now? I was thinking an email saying, "you're right mom, I am transgender and I'm going to do something about it, thanks for the support"

I have been completely isolated for the opportunity to make friends. It's been 7 years and he's been involved with some questionable activities lately. He's full of double standards, he has no conscience and blames all our problems on me. I moved with him 9 states in 7 years for his job and have tried to be supportive. But he won't let me work or leave the house without permission. And now I want out and that would mean going to the streets in a strange city. I sometimes think I'd be happier there. But the prospect scares me. Has anyone or is anyone in the same situation? What do you do? I feel trapped.

I have a very old Elna super, I’ve used it for a few years and I’ve never had a manual. I re wound my bobbin like I’ve done for years, I put the new bobbin on the bobbin winder on top of the machine, push it to the right and loosen the wheel on the side of the machine to stop the needle from going up and down as I wind the bobbin, when I was done I put the bobbin winder back to the left but I couldn’t re tighten the wheel. If I step on the petal the outer wheel spins but the only way to move the needle it to manually turn the inner wheel, I’ve hade this problem before but I cant remember how to fix it, please help!

I read a post here today from someone who said basically, "Believing in the God Myth is a luxury I can no longer afford"....and I wonder if any of you feel the same way; and if I can ask this respectfully to help me as a believer maybe better understand your POV - what do you mean by "luxury you can no longer afford" as I have heard that phrase before of course, but never used in this context?
