I'm in a new dorm at my college this year. It's been two days and I'm miserable. I won't change dorms - the location and size of the rooms are wonderful.

I have a fan blowing on me from a few feet away at full speed. (And two other fans going in the room.) It keeps me from sweating from the heat, but it doesn't cool me down. Which cools you down (because of frozen water) only directly at the face.

The cold showers are even lukewarm. Is there any nifty way to cool down, perhaps without using ice and cold water, in a building such as this? How do other people get through it?

Does cigarette smoke enter the water of the fish tank. I have an aerator with an air filter connection; will this work or should i just leave the aerator off? How bad will it affect the fish? On another note can u kill a fish by getting it high (feeding or blowing pot smoke in the tank)?

My cousin was diagnosed with Bipolor, she asumes having 'episodes' means your cutting and hurting yourself. Well when we asume she's having an episode she'll talk nonstop, organize, bring up past issues, cry randomly, count things over and over, and other such random things. Are these part of the bipolor diagnoses, and is there anything we can do about them?

I get rid of my old dryer because it take forever to dry my laundry and bought a brand new one. But it happens the same thing. Anyone know what wrong with my dryer? Or how much should it be if i call a technician to fix it. Thanks.

I mean professionally, how can one get a PhD in anthropology. I would assume (for me) go to a community college, pass general education then on to a University. But I have a learning disability in math and cannot pass general education math class.

I had a dream the other night and I am wondering what it means. I was walking through a house and it was a normal one with living room, dining room and bedrooms-nothing too extreme not immaculately clean or very dirty. Just lived in. In the kitchen there was a door leading into another room. However, when I walked in, it was totally black. I couldn't even see my hand when I waved the hand in front of my face. I found the light swich and turned the light on. I could see a glow from the bulb, but still it was completely black in the room.

As mr Burger prepared for testimony before the 9/11 Commission he took top secret documents from the national archives. He stuffed the documents in his pants and socks. Now, some of the documents have come up missing. We feel that Mr. Burger's abuses of National Security and gross abuse of his power, is treason. We are asking to charge Mr. Burger and those who knew what he did and not bringing this to the forefront with treason. We, the Undersigned, understand that this is a very serious charge that is punishable by death. However, this is a VERY serious breech of National Securty, he must be made example of, so people who have the same idea will not repeat the same mistake.

The show started out displaying a loving, humbled, and well functioning family. Of course some drama was necesary for entertainment prurposes, but has the show gone too far? The family isn't even functioning as a whole anymore which defeats the entire point of the show which is to display the family in a particular way! It's more like a soap opera now and even though it is good, it's still a little disappointing to me! Tell me what you think!!!

I'm in college. I roomed with a friend spring semester. @ first it was cool, but now i hate him. he treats me like crap, puts me down because I don't see eye-to-eye to him, calls me fat-a$s (he's not exactly skinny either), criticizes every little thing I do, not constructive criticism, but like how I have no clue what I'm doing and will amount to nothing. He's extremely arrogant and talks bad about me, also to other people. Last year we had ONE class together, now we have 3. Beginning and advanced boxing on tues. th, history on Mon. Wed. Fri. that means I have to put up w/ this a$$hole EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!!! I tried switching out of history, but they're all full! I can't drop this class and love boxing. How do I handle him? Do i just say "hey, if you're gonna put me down, don't say anything to me. I'm tired of hearing it and really don't like you that much." or something like that.

I dont know what to do. A few years ago my daughter told me my brother in law (her uncle) had touched her. I freaked out and called the police. They arrested him. I pushed the matter for my daughters sake. He's still in prison. My daughter has problems. I have other posts about her. The psycologists working with my daughter have made major progress (Bipolar). Recently this is all coming out. She told them and me that he did nothing to her. Shes really upset about the lie that put him in prison. My god she was so convincing when she told me he did this to her. I don't know what to do. The DA won't do anything. They say he's be convicted and that has to stand. My daughter even talked to them.
At the trial they didn't have any evidence but, they said that children don't lie about molestation. I believed that at the time and so did the judge. My daughter and I have been in a therapy group. I was surprised to find that so many kids do this.
What else can I do to help him and my sister?
