Well............since I work in Human Resources in Canada, I will answer based on that. We have programs to increase representation of certain underrepresented groups such as visible minorities, persons with disabilities and aboriginal people. It is called Workplace Diversity and has a different focus than Affirmative Action. It is intended to 'level the playing field' in a way that makes the 'inside' represent the 'outside'. So, I would guess that as demographics change, the focus would change as well. There is no reason why it can't be a fluid system.

It's not that near in the future in most places, though, in some, it's already a reality (and, no surprise: no AA for whitey in those places).
AA will eventually go away, possibly before all 50 states are minority-majority. People will eventually realize that the need for it has passed.

Since I am white, but my family came from Rhodesia, can I get reparations when they give them to African-Americans. Really, I am more African than all the so calls I have met. Most wouldn't last a day in the bush.
