I find disgusting that in America, founded by Euro values/culture, is experiencing this reverse assimilation. IMO the only people of Hispanic orgin that have a right to say anything is the Spaniards and Cubans. Since the Spaniards (Queen Isabella) financed Columbus because she was the only European ruler to believe the world was round and take a risk with Columbus. Too bad Spaniards only make up 2% of the Hispanic/Latino population in the US!!! Spaniards and Cubans are the only Hispanics that don't leech off the government. They are almost all small business owners, 1 to 2 kids MAX, college-educated, support capitalism, believe in America's ways and values AND THEY ALL SPEAK ENGLISH WITH PRIDE!!!!!

Will Americans soon need to learn Spanish to survive?

Our son's 2nd birthday is coming up and we're getting him a train/car table to play on, he LOVES trains, cars, etc. Is it ok on the bottom of the invites to put something along the lines of (child's name) loves trains, cars & dinosaurs! to give guests (most of which is family) ideas. I just moved in with my girlfriend on Aug. 1st. Since then she has said it has been a hard transition for her because I have been working a lot of overtime at work(August is one of my busiest months) which I can understand. We were supposed to go to NYC in a few weeks to go to a friends birthday. Now I have to work on Sunday night and I would need to leave NYC early on Sun. She’s mad because she wanted to stay there all day and take our time coming back, once again she is mad at my work. She now doesn’t want to go at all and is planning on going to NYC with one of her girlfriends the weekend before. Ladies what is going on here?
