I was driving with my friend and the security company (wackenhut) wanted to pull us over, he had no lights so go figure. Obviously we didn't even know he wanted us to stop, so we didn't and at the entrance to the community (which is not gated because its public roads) another guy who was radioed ahead stood in the way of the exit flashing his flashlight signaling us to stop.

First of all if we stop can he hold us until the cops arive? What are his limitations to holding us if he is alowed.

My 2 year old female chihuahua gave birth to her first litter of 6 puppies about 2 days ago. 2 of them already died because they were so small and weren't able to eat very much. Now there are 4 left, 2 of which seem to have gained a healthy weight, 1 is starting to gain a little weight but is still skinny, and the last doesn't seem to gain any weight at all. For the two smaller puppies I've been helping them to their mother's breast so that they can be fed because they can't seem to do it on their own. I direct them towards the breast every time the other puppies eat. But even then they never eat very much. What can I do about this?

Scientifically speaking, what are the ideas which explain the actual beginning of life? I've heard phrases like "primordial ooze" being thrown around, but what exactly does that refer to? Is there an accepted theory? Most of us are only familiar with the "survival of the fittest" aspect of the process of evolution, but there are other aspects such as genetic drift that most people are undereducated about. Is there an aspect of evolutionary theory that explains the origen of life, or are there any other interesting ideas to explain it?

I have a 99 Grad Am and it is becoming ridiculous how many times I have had to repair my ABS sensor. Since I purchased the car in 2000 I have had to put new sensors in my car 6-7 times. It is a yearly event; recently the ABS/Trac Off lights came on and they were fixed 8 months ago in January 2007. Also, after it gets fixed it is normally in the shop again 1-2 times within a week because it was not fixed. I have been to many different places for the repair. The repair is not cheep; it is between 250-300 dollars. Is there something else wrong with my car then just ABS sensor and why does it happen so often and how long is the sensor under warranty since I replaced it less than 8 months ago.

A friend once told me. When I was single, that I would run into my future wife, withoutknowing it. Its when U don't find Love on that day, but instead you go about your normal everyday routine activities of every day life and when you bump into someone, that will be your perfect soulmate. Take a scientist like Enrico Fermi, who was involved with developing the atomic bomb during the Manhattan Project...

All his experiments took place on a university campus where he was a Professor of Physics.

So does that mean those who knew him - colleagues, assistants, students, security guards, etc. - would've addressed him as Professor Fermi? Or Doctor Fermi?

Ive been with my gf for 3 very long years.
We lived together since day one, because i had my own place, now its getting to the point where every word she says drives me crazy. i cook, clean, and have spent 100s on the new house.(my money) the only thing she does is pay half the bills. i work in an office earning not a bad wage and i have a mortgage. She has stayed in the same crappy job earning minimum wage because its easy. I HATE IT. i dont know what i can do. i think the only reason we havnt split up is because i couldnt afford it... its terrible i know. I have no idea where to go. the 1st yr was fantastic - but now....id rather stay at work. and all this @ 20. where can i go from here.
