I agree, I don't think God spends too much time worrying about who's going to win the World Series or Super Bowl.
The same holds true for awards shows, too - I doubt that God is watching and hoping that his favorite bands take home the prize.

The creator cares about everything. I have heard Athletes thanks god after a loss. You just do not hear about it as much as when they win. Plus most athletes thank God for the OPPORTUNITY and the ABILITY to compete. not the result
