Corporations are now running America, not your representatives. They are owned by lobbyists, which have doubled to 30 thousand under the Bush administration. If you wonder why nothing is being done for you, and that includes all Americans, its because congress can't fart without asking the corporations first. Over 90% of legislation has been drafted by lobbyists during the Bush Administration, not congress. Any questions?

i have lived the past 10 years in Japan and Mexico, and ive recently returned to the US and am just shocked, disgusted , dismayed and completly heart broken at the level and brutality of our fellow citizenry. Why are we(yes we) so messed up? Do you fear more from a terrorist or from your fellow American citizen? I fear the American citizen more than I do somebody from the Middle East by far. What your take?

I'm taking a short two-day trip to Toronto in October. What should I do and see in the city, besides the usual tourist attractions such as the CN Tower, Eaton Centre, Toronto Zoo, etc? AKA Drive in theatre. We used to put a few people in the trunk and "sneak" them in. Do you remember checking to see who's windows were fogged over? Hot and steamy stuff going on inside the car? In Knox County and McHenry County, Illinois, there are earwigs rampant, galore, everywhere you look outdoors.

My daughter in south Georgia reports earwigs too. Has anyone else noticed more than usual? Why are they so abundant?

My wife is a nonresident alien with no US income and did not file a return. I filed as married filing separately, claiming her as an exemption and taking the standard deduction. Now I got back a letter from the IRS that says my standard deduction was rejected because "When your filing status is Married Filing Separately and your spouse itemizes deductions, you must also itemize. Information on your tax return indicates that your spouse itemized deductions; therefore, we used zero as your deduction amount."

If my wife didn't file a return, how could she have itemized deductions? Should we be worried about identify theft of her SSN? How does the IRS know from "information on your return" that my wife itemized? That doesn't make any sense...

The IRS representative on the phone wasn't helpful at all and wouldn't clarify what this letter means.

What should I do?

With all the hot summer weather, deodorant isn't seeming good enough. I've been told that baby powder will help to prevent excess sweating and also smells nice. So I was wondering if after getting out of the shower and applying deodorant, should I also apply baby powder? I'm a teenager by the way. (and please, no inappropriate responses)
