I need to monitor a log file for a while and was going to have inittab run tail -f logfile | grep ERROR | xargs -n1 -i mailit.sh {}

Where mailit.sh is just a 2 line program:
echo $1 > error.log
mail -s "Error occured" my@email.com < error.log

or any other suggestions for realtime monitoring of a log file.
Its VERY BUSY always getting written too.

ok lets start by the tank is 30 gal and the bottom is a mix of black sand with white rocks i made a shelter for the convicts out of limestone but they dug the list 1/2 in of sand and it collapsed they took the fry out and today they started to dig 2 holes next to the big one.
Also i have the tank divided in half wish a mesh kit on the other side a have a tiger oscar with a chinese algea eater, their side is dirty dirty without the chinese.
Im thinking on taking the divider out and taking the stones out with care cuz some of the fry are close to it most of them are next to the plasting plants. i dont know what im doing but i want to fix it tonight thx

Hey, I've got a question that I thought was pretty straight forward to answer, but I find I'm having trouble getting an answer. I have read from Matthew and most of Romans in the NT. There seems to be a lot of references to us being saved by Jesus and being able to get into heaven because of Him... yet even after all this reading, I still don't understand HOW this works. Why did Jesus need to die for us to get into heaven and/or be saved? Aren't people that died before Jesus (who were good people and followed everything in the OT) going to heaven? Why was Jesus' death needed?

And if it was needed, what of the people that died before his death? And if it was needed, why? Why did Jesus have to DIE? Please don't take this like I'm challenging anyone or anything... I'm genuinely curious and would like to know. I feel I know nothing if I can't answer this simple question. Also, any Bible verses that will help clarift WHY would be nice. Thanks :)

I'm trying to teach my dog down and he isn't listening. Hes a 4 month old Golden, I say down, grab his front legs, and gently pull them down, but when I do, he rolls over for a belly scratch what do I do? I want him to lay, not rollover.

few years ago, my fella fell off ladders and smashed all his bones in his foot. he has never been able to walk properly again. his boss accepted negigence snd compensation was paid out recently. but during this time, he was on incapacity benefits and as soon as his claim money came through his solicitor took out a huge payment to repay every penny back to the dss which was quite a few grand. is this right or was he ripped off? surely the dss doesnt expect every single peny back he recieved via benefits? anyone out there know anything? we live in uk. he had to repay nearly 5 years of £100 per week. im ery confused and feel it should be investgated about. my fella believes every word his lawyer says but i smell something fishy

Well my Ram is supposed to be 1024MB (1gb) but its says 896MB on the Ram test and that means the 128 MB for Graphics is coming out of my Ram and to check why that happened I found out that it says Nvidia 6100 using available PCI-Express slot on the box but when I cracked open the case to find out that theres no Graphics card at all let alone a Nvidia 6100. I got the PC a year ago from Bestbuy so what should I do I lost the Receipt and now should I take it back to Bestbuy or something else. If you know please tell me. Thanks. I have a Gateway GT4016 Media Center PC.
