Is she a large dog? If so, she should be fine. Overdose of Ivomec can cause neurological symptoms. It is toxic at 10-15 times the recommended dose. There is no treatment for overdosage other than supportive care for symptoms. Definitely call the vet and ask.

Unfortunately, Once in the system, nothing can be done, even by your vet, unless it has changed recently. You may feed her a large meal to slow digestion of it, and then induce vomiting, talk to your vet, though!. 1cc is what I use with my 200+ pd mastiffs. I hope she is OK. She should be, but watch her very closely........good luck....sending some prayers your way!

My 15 kg stafford has been on 6 mls of ivomec for demodetic mange so I can't see how 2 mls would cause a problem. She may feel a bit nauseated but that is all.

15 kilograms = 33.0693393 pounds - just did a conversion for you :)

Chances are your dog should be okay. Ivomec isn't toxic for your dog in large doses. But you should call the vet that prescribed it to you just to be sure.

Also, Collies and collie mixes can be very allergic to Ivomec. If your dog is a collie then it's little more serious.

I'd call your vet now and ask for advice.

Yup your right it is for heartworm, I goofed! I don't think it will harm her. She's a big dog, so I wouldn't worry to much ok.
