My husband and I are considering buying a two-family unit. The previous owners did not winterize the property properly and all the raidiators burst. Now, a new heating system would have to be put in. We're weighing our options and deciding if we would want to put a bid in. Realtor said he would suggest putting in forced air and said he guessed it would cost about $8K to put in. So now we're trying to figure out if we should put down less of a downpayment and fix the heat, or put down more and then use space heaters until we had enough money to fix the heat. We would live downstairs and rent out the upper 1 BR unit. Can we legally do this? People have told me that space heaters would work fine, but I'm leery of them. What would you suggest we do - less downpayment and fix heat or more downpayment and use space heaters?

I went to school at ENMU and graduated with a masters degree. Now i'm getting alot of flack from friends saying i graduated from a joke of a school in the middle of hicksville New Mexico (portales). I actually transferred to ENMU from Whitewater University in Wisconsin and found it to be much much more difficult and challenging. I never considered that my degree from this college would be laughable to others. How does it compare to average colleges across the us? Should i be concerned?

well. i was scratching my back and my head was turned to the left.. like when you scratch yr back.. well when i came back to normal position with my neck, i couldnt. it felt like a painful pinch or soemthing in my neck and shoulder. i've never had this before and its hurts alot. right now i cant move my neck in any direction to the right.. i mean i can. but i get this painful pinch in my shoulder and upper back neck. its been like this for about 5-10 mins. does anyone know what this is? how can i make it feel better? i took a hot bath and tried to stretch my neck out. and i took some advil. HELP PLEASE

The original techning of the bible is that he doesnt. People who are seperated legaly (divorced) are not divorced spititualy and as such cant remarry or would be in a perpetual state of adultery and Sin.

I never thought of that because I have family who have divorced and remarried.

How does that work in the Catholic Church if someone is Married originaly there and divorced for whatever reason, marries outside the church and returns.

From my understanding they would never be able to take communion with Christ. But would they be in a perpetual state or mortal sin - how does that work.

So I'm having my sister's baby shower at a restaurant, probably in a private area. Should be about 20 people. My plan is to have it at like 7:30 p.m. and I will order/pay for a selection of appetizers and salads for the group to share, as well I will pay for soft drinks.

How do I word it on the invitation, so that people don't think that they have to pay for their own meal or chip in?

I picked a later time, so that people wouldn't think it was dinner. I plan on telling the waiters not to give out menus. What else can I do to make it clear? Am I better to have it at like 2 pm to reduce the chance that people would order alcohol? I really can't afford to pay for alcohol for everyone.

Do you all think it's right if my husband let's me go with his friend to the beer store? The other day my husband had some buddies over after work. They were drinking so was i, but my husband ran out of beer but he didn't feel like driving to the store. So he told me to let his friend go for us. I told my husband i don't trust anyone with my car; but my husband kept insisting i finally said then if you don't want to go with him i will. And he said just hurry and come back. Now i feel that my husband don't love me that much to let me go with his buddy. Shouldn't he have been more protected of me to say it's late you don't need to be out there with a guy. He let me go! I feel so not special and not important. I feel if a guy truly loves his woman he will not let this happen. Am i over exaggerating or what?

We're told to drink 8 glasses of water /per day, so I'm wondering why coffee wouldn't count?
Coffee is made w/ water, so why wouldn't a cup of coffee count as being part of the water I'm supposed to drink?
And if I add milk to my coffee why wouldn't I count that milk as part of the milk I need to drink every day?

I'm not horridly overweight, just moderately, and I was just told that I need to lose weight, or I'm going to be in a wheelchair by the time I'm 25 or 30.
I've got osteoarthritis in my spine, 3 bulging disks, Fibromyalgia, and this extra weight is making it a hell of a lot worse.
If I get this weight off, I will have virtually NO pain!

I need to lose 20-30 pounds, and I want to lose at least 15 of it pretty soon.
I'm 5'2", 170-178lbs, large frame (according to the whole wrist/finger ratio) and the "healthy" weight for someone my height is supposedly 120.

If you saw me, you'd know that I would look deathly ill at 120, so my goal weight will eventiually be 145.
For now I'm just hoping to get down under 160!
My goal by the first week of september is to have lost 10 pounds.

What tips can you give me on how to not only LOSE the weight (safely, no pills or crash diets), but keep it OFF and keep in shape?
