I am witing something freelance and just wondering if anyone can give me an addequite difference between drug abuse and drug addiction.

The definition of an addict is: 1. To cause to become physiologically or psychologically dependent on a habit-forming substance
2. To occupy (oneself) with or involve (oneself) in something habitually or compulsively

Definition of drug abuse: he use of illegal drugs or the inappropriate use of legal drugs. The repeated use of drugs to produce pleasure, to alleviate stress, or to alter or avoid reality (or all three).


The use of a drug for a purpose other than that for which it is normally prescribed or recommended.


the habitual misuse of a chemical substance

They are very similar definitions. Almost the same.

Why are people either classified as a drug abuser or a drug addict? Drug abusers don't usually get the intese care an addict does. Remember, the definition for addic includes psychological addiction... not just physical.

I have Microsoft Office Word 2007. But now I need to use a reference software that runs on Word 2003 only. I cannot get to use it with the Office Word 2007. I tried to download Word 2003 with this reference software but I guess because I have the Office Word 2007, the 2003 doesn't download. Any idea where I can download Word 2003? I cannot even find it in microsoft.com. Or do I have to unistall Office Word 2007 to be able to download Word 2003?

Recently, a very tragic event happened not far away from where I live. A mother and her two children were beaten to death in there own home. You may of heard about this on the news. The daughter Kesha Wizzart was an inspiring singer who had appeared on 'Stars in your eyes' and was about to study law at university. Her mother was a nurse. Her brother, a bike repairer, was killed too. They were just children. I can not get this out of my mind, especially as this family were a part of my community, and the I went to school with the cowardly killer. Once upon a time, these stories you only read about in the press, or see on the news, usually far away. Now in these days and times tragic, meaningless crimes are much more common. Please leave your condolences for the family, or any other tragic events you were affected by. To watch Kesha's stars in your eyes performance please look it up on you tube.(RIP) Thankyou in advance for your respect and kind words.

again, people lost hundreds of billions or more, then it was the Enron/ Worldcom/ Global Crossing/ Adelphia/ etc. corporate scandals, again people lost tens of billions, now it's the subprime mortgage thing. Does anyone else see a pattern here, with people losing overall trillions of dollars, I for one wonder where that money went, and is this all a well thought out and orchestrated effort by individuals and corporations to legally ( at least for the most part ) pick the pockets of Americans?. Also the things we're seeing from China and the fact that big business seems to have decided that we should eat poisoned food from China and other places because they don't want us to know where this stuff comes from and are doing everything in their power to defeat the food labeling laws The question is, is it time to bring back regulation?

My daughter is 1 year old. She only has 2 teeth on the bottom and is just starting to get her first tooth on the top. Recently I heard what sounds like her grinding her teeth. It sounds really bad.
