of corse she was let down, she wasn't even four-years-old and she was left alone with her 2-year-old siblings, poor little thing, children look to their parents for care and protection but sadly Maddie was born into the care of parent's who'd rather have a child-free meal than protect their toddler's from kidnapper's and paedofiles!

the media has stuck by her parents and have actually been praising them, Maddie is just four, she can't stand up for herself, even if she was found she wouldn't be able to stand up for herself and sadly no-one else seems to want to stand up for her!

The pro-McCanns should be ashamed of themselves, sticking up for these parents when they should be sticking up for Maddie!

They should feel sorry for Maddie, not her irresponsible parents!

IT's about time that a British newspaper jumped out of line and started to question the McCanns behaviour. We on YA (well some of us ) have been asking for answers for weeks. Let's hope that the reporters have been delving behind the scenes and will very soon open up the flood gates and flush out this pair of crooks. They cannot be allowed to travel the world amassing a fortune and pulling the wool over the eyes of everyone they meet. These are the negligent people and they caused Maddy's "disappearance". Why should we feel sorry for them. I just feel sorry for their children having such irresponsible parents.

Totally. As Parents and Doctors they have NO EXCUSE for leaving their children unattended, night after night. The British Media should be ashamed too, for A) making it obvious that there is some kind of "cover up" going on, and B) Making allowances for one set of parents, which in turn will set a precedence so that other irresponsible parents can use the McCann excuse..and why shouldn't they? You can't have one law for one person and another law for the rest of us, can you?

This whole situation is appalling and completely and utterly biased in favour of the Parents when the only person who deserves our sympathy is Maddie. The Pro-McCann's (who are more than entitled to their own opinion, as far as I'm concerned) seem to see the McCann's as the victims here, whereas the only person to have suffered, or is still suffering (God forbid) is a child who should never have been in such a vulnerable position in the first place.

i agree madeleine has been let down by her parents and the media. all the media ever do is portray the so called 'grieving parents' madeleine has been forgotten a long time ago because of all the publicity stunts and daily jogs.

let's say for argument sake that madeleine was indeed kidnapped and her kidnappers decided to read to her an article on the internet from gerry's daily blog, and stressing on the fact that they have been having lovely outings with the twins...and the twins are having a great time especially with their granny visiting. the kidnappers say to madeleine 'looks like your family do not miss you cause it sounds like they're having a whale of a time'. how is madeleine going to feel?.

In all honesty I don't think the McCann's would have been viewed as the neglectful parents they are if they had made more of a public effort to actually look for their daughter, instead of hiring staff, and finding ways to raise money!

Yes it is tragic that this little girl went missing, and it is something that I would never wish upon loving parents, but these parents are manipulative money hungry and evil.

Of course Madeleine McCann was let down by her parents. The facts according to Gerry McCann they as parents acted responsible and didn't think they were in any danger?

Yes.
Aside from the fact that Madeline would not have gone missing if it wasn't for her parents, the media have condoned their behaviour both at the time and since.
Well done to the Express for finally asking the question that everyone wants answered.

Yes, she is being (and was) let down by her parents in the main, but also, the British Media to a large extent....

I totally agree with you Angel, Madeleine has been badly let down for over 80 days now. I can't believe its taken this long for something remotely negative to be printed about the whole thing.
