Why are YA conservatives so selfish and un-caring about others? Don't they realize that we are all part of a larger society and as such it's incumbent upn the group as a whole to help the less fortunate? C'mon folks, WWJD?

What's more selfish, giving a man a fish, or teaching a man to fish?
In other words, is it better to just give people something, pat them on the back and tell them, "I'm much better than you and so out of my immense generosity and goodness I will pity you and give some of mine because I am so wonderful."
Or, is it better to tell someone, "Yes, I may be a little better off than you right now, but you have the potential to do better and so I will offer you guidance and give you every opportunity to fulfil that potential if you want. The choice to do better is yours."

You are sure great at broad, unsubstantiated generalizations. Just what are conservatives selfish and uncaring about? You do know that, statistically, conservative states give more to charities than Liberal states. Conservatives are all for helping the less fortunate. I don't know where people like you get that stuff...maybe it's that we prefer to teach the man to fish versus just giving him the fish. That is much more elevating than fostering ongoing dependency.

Are you serious? WWJD?
For starters He probably wouldn't call someone he disagreed with a "stupid cow".
Here's your tiniest sliver of data that you requested.

its called management.
you cant give everyone everything. conservatives give the most in time and money, but they want accountability in doing so. it goes along with the saying give a man a fish you feed him for a day teach him to fish you feed him for a life time.
Many liberal plans are plans of giving without a return. why pay someone to not work and not try to find work? also we have personla and federal budgets for a reason its becuae you cant give to anything and everything.
o am a moderate that leans toward conservative the reason i do is becuase most of the liberals dont put reason behind their programs.

I care about people plenty. Where does one draw the line between caring for people and trying to help them and hindering them by not letting them help themselves. Giving people shelter and healthcare and money for doing nothing does not inspire or give these people any reason to help themselves and rise out of their poor situations. Why would a person who is poor try to get a job if he could just be lazy and let people who work hard pay taxes to provide him with everything he needs? There is a point when the best love you can have is tough love. People need to learn to be independent and do things for themselves.

I can imagine how those like yourself, looking up at them, can rationalize such a convoluted conclusion.

I am selfish because at birth I started learning how I could get my needs met. What would Jesus Do? I can only assume that He would do the will of His Father. Remember that Jesus told the disciples that you will always have poor people. Jesus came to die for my sins. Not everyone who saw Jesus was healed.
