A harder question to answer would be, "Which country does NOT have prostitution?" It's everywhere, my friend.

Some people think it is an easy way to make money. Others take advantage of people. Some times it is even as bad a slavery. There will always be crime, there will always be prostitution as long as there is a market for it or as long as it is profitible. I too question why we still have problems like this but the world will never be as we want it.

Simply because of America's monumental hypocricy and dysfunction on all things sexual.

Senator Vitters of course is just the most recent confirmation of American's revolting hypocricy.

Aside from the hypocricy ,not legalizing the oldest profession on earth results in a substantial volume of crime associated with prostitution ; allows the un-controlled spread of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases that would be controlled by mandatory regular testing if it was legalized) and of course given the shear extent of prostitution,it's legalization would make it all taxable and would bring in literally billions every year.

What country is that?

Seriously, the "worlds oldest profession" is in EVERY country in the world, I doubt it will ever go away.
