i'm having a "play date" next week. should be 9-10 adults and about 12 kids (mostly age 2 - 3 years).

everybody brings a snack or drink and the host provides the lunch... how much should i get? do you think pizza would be cheaper if the pies are about $8 or $9 each?

I get the train to and from work, in the morning and afternoon peak hour. Sometimes there is a spare seat next to the window with someone sitting next to the aisle. I will say excuse me, could I sit? I would have thought that person would just slide across a bit, but they stand up to let me pass so I can sit down. This is a nice thing, I just dont know why, I have a bit of a giggle to myself when this happens. I live in Brisbane but will accept answers from all, thankyou.

Okay, in the Bible in the New Testament it is said that women should wear head coverings in church and during prayer. No one in my church does this, or in many churches I know.

Also it says that women should not speak during church... So does that mean that having women preachers is wrong?

I mean, you can't just throw out the parts of the Bible that you don't agree with, and I want to be holy, but I'm just kind of upset about these things... I want to be a preacher, and I'm a woman...

I've been writing for about 7 years now, however I just haven't published anything. I've finally buckled down and started (almost completed) to write a novel. It's SciFi/Fantasy, however, I know it's pretty hard to get into the literary world without having a good resume as far as being published goes. I've been doing my research, and I think I'd like to go the Literary Agent route. I was thinking of self publishing myself, but I'd like to really pursue the road to where I can get published through mainstream. Can anyone give me advice and what literary agents out there that would actually take on a "first time author"? Thanks.

I am in the market for a car, and with a lot of the makes and models I have been looking at, people seem to have a higher opinion of older models compared to new ones. IE, older generation tacomas, 96-99 subaru legacy's, etc. Is it because the materials they are built of higher quality generally? Are the materials new cars built with these days for the most part cheaper? Is it just because people have more experience with the older vehicles? What older models do YOU believe are better built than their newer version? What cars do you believe have vastly improved over the years?

I need you guy's to be honest...I have seen many married women who have children get out of shape, gain weight, never loose the weight, get stretch marks, have saggy boobs, and have a floppy loose stomach's from having children...Many of these women say to others that having stretch marks and other things I mentioned is a beatuiful thing it shows the mark of having a baby and that their husbands love it..Is this true guys???? Honestly, areb you still attracted to your wives afer they have had children?? would you change them if you could??? Do you wish that they would get back in shape after having children??? I have a 15 month old daughter and didnt get over weight , didnt get strectch marks, didnt get a flappy stomach,didnt get saggy boobs, and still are in great shape..My husband tells me that he is very thankful that I care enough to stay in shape and look great for him...would you guys want the same thing from your wives?

If there was a guy today who claimed to be the Prophet/Messiah/Son of God/etc., there's no way in hell anyone would believe him or her. What makes now different? Do you believe in the biblical stories/Muslim prophecies just because they happened a long time ago, therefore they must be true? What is so much more believable about something that took place 2000 years ago? If Jesus came back, you'd all say He was a lunatic and you'd lock him up like that. Can we discuss this, or can someone explain please?

If I watch a movie on my tv, we always end up turning the volume up all the way because we can't hear the people talking. Even when it's on full blast, the voices are even soft. So if they whisper, you can't hear ANYTHING. But then the music comes in, and blows you away it's so loud. Why are they not at the same volume level? I watch movies on my computer and the problem does not exist. It's only on the TV. Someone told me it had something to do with 'audio compression.' How do I fix this?

The woman told me numerous times and also showed affection in other ways...(not sexual) and then all of the sudden said we needed to slowdown. I did reveal an insecurity about work (i.e. boss takes advantage of me financially-->makes me feel like a chump sometimes). Wouldn't she want to work out any perceived problems? Why would she just want to throw it all away? Especially after she told me I reminded her of her only ex-boyfriend (of 3 years...and they have been split up for over 1 year)? Any thoughts?

I planned a day trip for some of my hometown friends before I move out for college. Suddenly, the day before the trip, one of my friends wants to pick up his girlfriend who lives an hour away and meet us at our destination. He knows that his girlfriend and I don't get along that well, and that this is one of our group's last chances to hang out together. Frankly, I really don't want her there. He emailed me asking me if I had any objections, but I feel like it would be rude to say I didn't want her there. Would it be rude, and if not how could I tactfully ask he not bring her?

this man an i have been dating for over a year. he was planning on getting married when we met. we were nothing but friend for a very long time. no physical anything involved. two weeks before got married, things changed and our relationship went to another level physically. fast forward a few months and i realize he's starting to love me. about 3 or 4 months later he finally admits it but i don't reciprocate. a month or 2 after that he backs me into a corner and i answer. i tell him i feel the same way but i know this cannot be this way. recently he told me on more than one occassion that he wanted to have a baby with me. he actually said he could not see me having a child with anyone else. i have no intention of doing this but would like to know what changed; we always talked about how we could not bring a life in this world because he is married. so what changed his mind? i haven't changed mine. also, women, please don't ask me how i feel if my husband did this to me because he did
