the Norman invasion,1066, while he was away in France, in favor of Edgar Atheling`s party, which evidently failed, as the Norman Barons involved in it were obliged to flee up to Scotland and seek the protection of the Scottish King, Malcolm Canmore, who had married Edgar`s sister.

Is there someone who might be able to shed more light on this story, and explain further why there should have been an Insurrection in the first place?
Also...Could the Norman Invasion have had more hidden motives other than William`s desire to fullfill his claim to the English throne? Might there have been, for example, some connection with the now popular theme of the Templars?

I met this guy a while ago. We got really close and were about to start dating, when suddenly, I stopped hearing from him. I had found out from a friend of his, that he got another girlfriend, so he quit talking to me. Well a year went by and out of the blue I get a message from him online saying he was sorry and wished we could go back to the way things were (he broke up with his g/f). So I said we could. A few days later, he vanished again.....it turns out, he got back with his girlfriend (after telling me what a huge mistake she was). Well a couple days ago I got another message from him, apologizing, again. My question is, should I forgive him again? I have NO plans on ever dating him because obviously, I cant trust him, and he's screwed me over twice now..but do I stay mad and not talk to him, or do I forgive him and be his friend? Or should I forgive him but not let him back into my life.. what would you do?? Im a very forgiving person, but..enough is enough

just received a parking ticket for parking on double yellow lines.
couple of points:

1) only a third of the vehicle was actually on the double yellow lines - the rest was in a valid space - any ideas if i have a valid case to appeal
2) the double yellow lines in question do not adhere to the governments advice on double yellow lines - i.e. incorrect width, incorrect distance away from the kerb etc.

any ideas on whether or not it is worth appealing... any advice would be most welcome.

When the girl miss call my husband will phone back the gal quikly.they are chatting bout an hour long and talking bout the problem between that girl and her bf(that wat im told).And my husband wil tell wat happen between me and him to that girl. when i ask more bout the conversation,my husband refuse to talk more.There is one day we was quarel and he said i didnt respect him because I ask what he chat wift that girl.Then i said im ur wife why cant i ask wat u al talking and im not forcing u?Wat should i do?Should i just pretend dont know anything?o should i just dont bother bout wat they chat?I wanna trust him bout he didnt prove to me they have nothing.

Dr Zakir Naik in one of his lectures said that Madrasas (Islamic religious schools) do not promote terrorism. I am fond of his lectures but the religious school at Lal Masjid in Pakistan is the greatest proof that religious schools do promote terrorism. There were lot of arms and ammo found in Lal Masjid. They also kidnapped some Chinese women. Islam is a religion of peace but the fundamentalist in United Kingdom are giving wrong message to the Muslim youth in Britian. I would like to know your views about this?
