Is not as easy as that. 1st of all you need to be civil servant and even if you are legible to apply, there are thousands of already assistant immigration officers that will apply to be immigration officers. Its very hard to get such job, you also need 2 exams to pass and then a grilling, horrible interview. Still want to do it?
My advise is dont go to the nearest airport, such asdvice can not be given by someone already working there, look on home office site, immigration agency site, and civil service jobs.

see how long it takes before you are carted away for wasting peoples time. but when interviewed only answer hock hock hock not till three o,clock.
that should do the trick.
