Okay, here's the question.Please take no offense. I'm absolutely looking for an answer just out of curiosity:

I know that people in many countries wipe themselves after pooping, its actually washing with water in many asian countries. I find the western system gross and I think its not hard to have water in toilets, and this have raised some questions for me:

1) Doesn't the trash that holds all the dirty handkerchiefs smell or look gross in the bathroom?
2) Don't people smell? I know they shower everyday, but what if they poop in the middle of the day? Won't they smell when they make love?
3) Whats wrong with having water in the bathroom? What does west have against this "water" culture?
4) how come people are not infected with diseases? Isn't that a risk for women?

If you buy 5 ABC @ $10, the price goes down to $1, you then buy 5 ABC @ $1, the prices goes up to $6. You sell 10 ABC @ $6. So the gain you make is $5. While the average price is $5.50, are you still taking a loss on the 5 shares @ $10?

How is this reported on income tax returns? As a loss, gain, or both?

My grandmother mixed Ammonia with Bleach one day and it literally created a miniature explosion.

Obviously this occured due to acid-base neutralization, but would it also occur if Orange juice was substituted for the Ammonia?

First of all, I've never had a girlfriend, and I'm going off to college, so I need help answering these two questions.

Everyone out there says "be yourself" when it comes to interacting with girls. The problem is...if I have to "be myself," then she's probably not going to like it. I'm not bad-looking, and I'm extremely intelligent, but I am usually VERY serious. I understand that girls like a guy who makes them laugh...and I don't make people laugh, and I rarely laugh myself (I'm not depressed or anything, I am perfectly content with life). What's your advice?

Secondly, I would describe myself as a "nice guy." I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or do anything dishonest, and I believe in total purity before marriage. The problem is, I'm looking for a girl who would feel the same way--someone who has a very rigid moral code and basically never does anything wrong. Am I doomed from the start? (By the way I am Christian. But many Christian girls are very hypocritical...)

He is the type that is VERY deceiving and angry.He is very jealous and controlling over everyone.He can manipulate very easily and if he can not get you to go with his ideas then he will literally attack you verbally or psyhically.He is very into himself almost like he feels he is God and knowone can oppose him and heaven forbid you do.He has since the beginning of him and my mothers relationship tried to isolate her from me and my sisters.It's almost as if he is jealous of us for some reason unknown to me.He has tried to litterally replace us in her life telling my mom that since I am gone she can take my best friend on like she's her daughter.Every friendship they make with people is great and wonderful at first and then all of a sudden the friend is like the "antichrist" to them.They become the worst person in the world.He is also VERY vindictive and volitile when he turns.It has been a theory that my mom has border line personality, but I am interested to know what his disorder is.

I work in a building with a reception area. There's a lady in reception who is constantly looking at me, constantly glaring at me. I'm only a temporary staff, we've had no arguments or anything. What gives? She's significantly older than me, but very slim and very well dressed. Could it be a jealousy thing?
What can I do? It's starting to get to me - I get someone like this in every office I work at.

Someone told me that if you default on a student loan that the govt. does NOT have to take you to court to collect. That they can confiscate your bank assets, or securities or whatever in order to get their money.

this ddidn't seem right to me. Doesn't the govt still have to take you to court and prove that you are liable for that student loan. I mean, what happens if there had been any sort of mistake and they confiscated your $$ but had the name of the defaulter wrong.

I'm just wondering cause it seems civil rights are being violated left & right and I would have said 'no way' but after all these govt civil liberties abuses, I am not so sure anymore.

(I know they can garnish your wages--but I assume that that is after notification)

so.....does the gov't have to sue you in court to collect $$ from a defaulted student loan or can they just confiscate your accounts without warning?

VA head quits amid scrutiny on vets care

VA Secretary Jim Nicholson abruptly resigned Tuesday after months of the Bush administration struggling to defend charges of shoddy health care for veterans injured in the Iraq war.

Nicholson, 69, is the latest in a line of senior officials heading for the exits in the final 1 1/2 years of the Bush administration.

His resignation comes amid intense political and public scrutiny of the Pentagon and VA following reports of shoddy outpatient care of injured troops and veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and elsewhere.

Walter Reed is a Pentagon-run facility, but charges of poor treatment relating to poor coordination quickly extended to the VA‘s vast network of 1,400 hospitals and clinics. The VA also has a severe backlog of disability payments to injured veterans, with overwhelming delays of 177 days that Nicholson has called unacceptable.

Surprised? I'm not.
