Okay, here's the question. Please take no offense. I'm absolutely looking for an answer just out of curiosity:

I know that people in many countries wipe themselves after pooping, its actually washing with water in many asian countries. I find the western system gross and I think its not hard to have water in toilets, and this have raised some questions for me:

1) Doesn't the trash that holds all the dirty handkerchiefs smell or look gross in the bathroom?
2) Don't people smell? I know they shower everyday, but what if they poop in the middle of the day? Won't they smell when they make love?
3) Whats wrong with having water in the bathroom? What does west have against this "water" culture?
4) how come people are not infected with diseases? Isn't that a risk for women?

I assume by "water in the bathroom" you mean a bidet? Yes, I think they are great, too. In Egypt I know they have holes in the ground for public toilets and when you wipe yourself-you don't toss the tissue into the hole, you bring it out with you (what if it's covered in poop???) and throw it in the trash. Talk about NASTY. Is that what you mean by question #1? I empty my bathroom trash can every day. There is nothing in there except maybe the wrapping off some new makeup. Post-potty wipings and "nose-rags" go into the toilet.

2) I carry pocket wipes. If I have a poo, then I use several of those to make sure I'm clean. And I would NEVER have sex if I had not VERY recently had a shower.

4) Infected with diseases? From.......? Poo in the genital area? VERY rare. And if you have an infection from that, you got it from yourself--not someone else.

1) the toilet paper used to wipe is flushed down the toilet -- not thrown in the trash.
2) if you wipe well, it is not a problem -- or we can always shower before making love
3) Bidets are just not a part of our culture for some reason. Who knows (but it's better than just squatting over a hole in the floor, with our modern toilets!
4) There is no way to catch diseases if you have good hygiene. Besides, Americans shower or bathe at least daily, if not twice a day. We like clean hair and bodies.

1) People in the West don`t put wipes in a bin it gets flushed away in the water used to flush the toilet.
2) I should be so lucky making love in the middle of the day
3) We do have running water in the bathroom on tap and have bidets.
4) Because we keep clean?
Please add any other information you want about the Western way of life or email me.

Im not even sure I understand what your saying. are you asking about Asia or America?

In India we have a normal bathroom as you do here in America, only we dont regularly have bathtubs we have showers because we feel sitting in your bodys dirt is bad for you. also we dont have what you call toilets, ours are lower to the ground to prevent actually sitting on it because we also feel every one putting their butts on the same place is "nasty".
In India we tend to train our selves from the age 2-5 and learn to "poop" once a day around the same time. this way we can shower after wards.
Next to American toilets is toilet paper, next to Indian "toilets" is a water picket with a small bucket that we use to rinse our behinds. when done we move right to the shower.
when we do get sick and have to go more often then our method is different of course.
in India we dont understand how people would think toilet paper makes them clean. when you shower you dont wipe the dirt with toilet paper, you take a shower, and that is why we shower after "poop".

I'm not saying one way is more right then the other and no one should, but we are different for different reasons. so lets not worry how others poop or clean them self, lets only be concerned with how well we clean our self.

Gee, where are you from, there is water in the bathrooms here, and we flush the toilet paper down the drain so no odor or papers in the waste baskets.
Around here, we tend to work in the middle of the day, so making love for most of us isn't and option, if it were we could simply take another shower.
As for the third and fourth questions, there is no increase in diseases and we are quite clean and odorless to each other. Different cultures tend to have distinctive odors to other cultures, due to cooking and eating mostly.
Which is why Americans can't get used to the odors of some Europeans who don't wash and use deodorant quite as often as Americans do.

The best thing is the so-called "bidet". You really need to wash after pooping and there isn't always a shower available.

I too am now an admitted baby wipe user. But I guess we also could be harming the environment, as they aren't supposed to be flushable. Oh, well, at least I don't have a stinky . . .

The answer to this dilemma is total and neverending constipation. A diet of portland cement is recommended. THat way, rather than going to the bathroom, they can go to the brickyard instead.

What is wrong with you? These are not questions, they are opinionated questions with no real way to answer.
