The monitor was turned off, but the computer left on. In the morning all colors were a tint of blue/green. Red still displays under monitor settings only. Solutions?

Check the cable from the system to the monitor. The red pins are 1 and 6, both on one side of the connector, so if it is not plugged in correctly those are the fist connections to become unplugged.

There should be thumbscrews on both ends of the cable, using those will make sure that the cable does not work loose again.


If the cable connections are good, then you may have a bad cable - see if there are any kinks or sharp bends in it. Or a bad video card, or it could still be a problem in the monitor. See if you can borrow another monitor to try on your system, or try the monitor on a different system.

just check the monitor cable connected to the PC .. it might be just a bit loos .. that should be the only problem ..

Maybe the monitor was magnetized, so if you can de-gauss it in the monitor settings.
