I'm talking about the Discovery channel show where they test theories to see if their myths or not.

My college physics teacher makes fun of the show ALL THE TIME. He knows a lot and doesn't need "theories" to waste for an hour to find an answer. Simple things like "Can I person in a free falling elevator surive if they jumped before they impact the floor?". That can be solved in seconds. No, they cannot, just jumping won't make a difference to the velocity/speed your going down.

From this, I have questions:
Do the myth busters not know anything?
Do they do it for the tv viewers to learn?
Do you really need to blow stuff up to get results?
Can't they teach the viewers Newtons Laws?

Being a Police Officer allows me to experience tons of new things, always have challenges and problems to solve etc, but the job stress and the stress on family life is a killer.

I haven't been with my family for a Holiday in about 2 years, and my hours (days or nights) are at the whim of the Department. Can it be rewarding and challenging, oh yeah, but honestly I'd rather spend more time with my family leading a normal life.

For this I'm looking into what was my second love as a kid, Dentistry. Only problem is I've got my fiancée, a life right now, and no financial backing. Schooling for Dentistry is a full time job, so I don't know if I can afford it (not the school itself, but living, rent, food, etc). That's why I'm looking at Dental Hygienist. Less financial burden, it seems to pull in a dang fine wage compared to what I make, almost double according to salary sites. Normal hours, less stress, Holidays with family, no Hurricane duty away from family. Good idea?

I am the lead singer of a cover band and even though I have sung in front of people before, I've always had the music in front of me. I know all the songs we'll be doing (30-40 on an average night) but I don't know that I can memorize the lyrics to all of them. The other band members assured me that lots of lead singers use music stands and have lyric notes, but I think that looks cheesy. Granted we aren't rock stars, just a local deal. But still, I want to look like I know what I'm doing. I've always been in awe of singers who can do an entire concert by heart. Besides practicing (the obvious) what other things can I do to memorize that many songs? Thanks.

Ok, it just so happens that 3 of our family friends recently got pregnant. It also just so happens that they all are clueless on what to name their sons. They're all very different so here are the preferences of each of them:

#1. They want something trendy and masculine. She says and I quote "We need to pump testosterone into the little bugger!" lol. Right now she likes Jackson & Axel but needs more choises. The last name is Sasson

#2. They want a Celtic/Gaelic name. She likes Cameron and he likes Ryder so they've both agreed to not use either one haha. Last name is Herlihey (her-la-he).

#3. Last one, they're into more classical names, so far they like Jack but they're also thinking about Alexander (Alex). Last name is Carter.
